Gooseberry - October 2015

We headed out for one last trip to fairview in October during a school break and before it got too cold.  We had such a fun time.  We hiked, played games and just relaxed.  One day Grandma and Grandpa came up with the Rousey kids and Cadence and we went hiking.  We had such a fun time.

Unusual Pet Show / DARE

Kambria had her unusual pet show.  She made a Gion.  It was a Lion mixed with a Giraffe.  She loved it!!

Jake got the DARE spot out in Herriman so he had to go through 2 long weeks of DARE school.  He met some great friends.  The last day we had a BBQ and a speaker and he graduated.  Here are pictures of his graduation.  Jake did DARE part time in Midvale and really enjoyed it.  He is really liking it out here in Herriman.   Moving out here has been really good for our family.  The chief is a really great guy and loves Jake and treats him really good.  The students really like Jake as well.  They all call him Jake from State Farm.  When the kids see him out in the city they always say hi Officer Jake.  He is so good with kids.  I am so glad he is enjoying his job.  He has always loved the teaching and the positive aspect of law enforcement.

4th of July Party/Vegas/Herriman Days

HERMAN DAYS

We had so much fun at Herriman Days.  They wanted Jake to be in the parade.  So the kids and I got to ride in his DARE truck and throw out candy.  The kids thought it was so much fun.  Sheriff Winder was walking around before the parade started and Jake was out talking to him, the kids were saying they hope he comes and says Hi.  Jake got in the truck and he went the other way.  I told Jake and he ran out and told the Sheriff and he came over and shook their hands and chatted with them and made them feel like a million bucks, he is really a good guy!

That day the kids went on carnival rides, went in the fire trucks on the motorcycles and then we watched a few minutes of the movie and left.  The next day we went back and went on more rides, petted an alligator and had lunch.  We love Jakes job and the community that we live in!

    VEGAS

Jake and I went to Vegas for a few nights to celebrate our 15 yr anniversary.  We had so much fun.  We went to the water park and had a blast.  It was SO hot and the tube slides were so much fun.  We hung out at the pool, walked the fun casinos and just relaxed.  I love spending time with Jake. 

 4th Of July Party

We had our annual water party.  It was so much fun.  The kids and adults played in the water forever. We then did sparklers and watched a movie outside.  We always look forward to the 4th of july.  I think it is Jakes favorite holiday.
