Our Little Pirate

Today Marshall had a Halloween Party at school. Here he is all dressed up and ready to go. He decided he didn't like the beard, so we ended up taking it off and drawing one on with eye liner. I'd have to say he makes a cute little pirate!!

The other night we finally carved our pumpkins. Here are a few of the pictures. I haven't yet taken a picture of the final product, I will do that tonight when it is dark and they are lite.

10 Weeks and 1 day to go!!!

I can't believe it! I have only 10 weeks to go and then I will have another child. I had my glucose test done and all is well. I also had my RH- shot and that was not bad, I remember it being bad, but it wasn't. However I am very low on Iron, so I get to take double dose of iron pills :0( I will be good and do it, because with Marshall my Iron was low and I didn't really care and I almost had to have a blood transfusion, and we don't want that NO NO NO! Plus this explains why I am so tired, have no energy, don't want to do anything, other then read the Twilight Series and so much more! Hopefully within 1 week I will be full of energy again.
So with 10 weeks left I am getting super excited. I have 101 different emotions going on, with fear, anticipation, nervous, excited, ready, I am capable?? It's been 4 years, will I remember what I am supposed to do. Needless to say its coming whether I am ready or not.
Anyway, Hopefully soon I will have something fun to post, like Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Marshalls B-day then Christmas then Baby Kambria. This will all take place within 72 days, that is crazy!! Yes that means that Christmas is in 60 days, I can't wait for the day after Thanksgiving shopping spree !!!

Big Boy Marshall

**update**
So there is a funny story to go along with this picture. I got an email from the photographer that states, "Dear parents, this email is to inform you that you may want to have your child's picture to be taken again with your assistance to be sure that you get a great picture of your child.attached is a sample of you child's picture. If you would like to have the picture redone please contact me by email or by phone to let me know if you want it done or not."

I looked at the picture and thought it turned out cute, he had a little smile and was happy. He looked just like my little Marshall. So I am good with the picture, I did not call or email them.

Yesterday morning I get a call from the photographer, she states, we figured you would like to do a retake, can I get that scheduled for you, I calmly said, "I am fine with the picture, I think it is cute, thank you." She responded a bit surprised, are you sure? I said I am sure. He has a cold right now, so his nose and eyes would be a bit red if I were to retake it, she replies, we can wait another week and then retake it. No I love the picture, I am just fine with it. She seemed very surprised that I was okay with the picture.

So I start thinking . . . . . am I just bias on the picture because he is my kid, I think it is cute. Do they think my son is ugly?? Not really sure why they wanted me to do a retake so bad. But despite all of that, I like the picture and I am not going to do a retake!!! It was a good laugh, I called my sister and said, pull up my blog, be honest, do you like that picture or should I have it taken again, she said it was fine, so I called my mom, Jake and a few others. I think I am now paranoid!!

Here is Marshall's picture that he had taken at preschool. He is getting so big!!

What a cutie . . . . If only she stayed this little.

Jake and Marshall have always loved big dogs, me on the other hand, not so much!! I was browsing some ads today, just for fun and I fell in love with this little gal. If only they stayed this small she would be mine. But as we know they get big and make a mess. But she was so cute I just had to show everyone.

My newest want -- any suggestions

So with Baby Kambria arriving in 3 months I have started to look at double strollers. I loved my Jeep stroller for Marshall because it pushed so nice and wasn't too big. I found this stroller today and I think it is the one. Anybody have one of these that has a complaint??

I figure that Marshall is at the age where he doesn't really care to ride in them, so I thought maybe if he stood behind or sat on a bench like one, he would use it, making it easier for me.
The second is the same type, just a little different and a bit cheaper. If you know anyone with one, that likes or dislikes let me know. I don't want to buy one and then not be happy with it.

Marshall was the spotlight

Today at Preschool, Marshall was the spotlight!! He has been so excited for this day! It was all about him, he got to wear a crown, and be the helper. It started out great. I brought Marshall to school and we showed his class his poster and told them all about himself. He thought that was really neat. Here is what we said:

Marshall's favorite color is yellow, he loves to paint, he loves spending time with his Grandma's. He loves to travel with mom and dad, loves Disneyland. Marshall enjoys playing T-Ball, and cooking with mom, he has helped mom make all 3 of his birthday cakes. Marshall likes to build forts with the couch cushions and blankets, his favorite drink is sprite, he likes fruit snacks and suckers. He loves the transformers, building with blocks and riding his bike.

This is the picture we took before school!!

Marshall was having so much fun at school. At about 1 hour before school was going to end, Mommy got a call saying Marshall was hurt. He was playing and tripped and hit his head on the corner of the table. They said he had a huge goose egg on his head and wanted Mommy. I hurried over, thinking they were just over reacting, I looked at Marshall and couldn't believe how big the goose egg was. So I brought Marshall home early to relax. He is doing better. He was sad he had to leave early from school, but his head really hurt. Here is a picture after, maybe you can see the Bump on his head. The second one was shortly after we got home, Marshall looks drunk, however he was not, just sad and sore.

We love Marshall, we are glad to have him in our family. He is such a joy and such a smart boy!! It makes me so happy when he is excited over something so little. He has his moments, but 99% of the time he is just the best boy ever.

Marshall's Halloween Costume

I know it is still a bit away, but . . . . when we went to Disneyland earlier this year, we bought this pirate costume for Marshall because that is what he wanted to be for Halloween. We have been trying to find some hair to go with it, and today we did. He looks so funny! He also has his eye patch and sword, but isn't that hilarious.

Great Email, worth reading!!

I must have a sick sense of humor, but I found this email so funny that I decided I would post it on my blog. I thought how cute, then laughed so hard. ENJOY!!

Incredible Story

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University .

On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully.

He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peters legs and slammed his stupid *butt* against the railing, killing him instantly.

Hmmm, Probably wasn't the same elephant.

This is for all of my friends who send me those heart-warming stories!
