Our Little Golfer

I LOVE this nice weather we have been having ... Yes today it is snowing, but the last few days have been beautiful. Yesterday Jake wanted to go hit a bucket of balls, so off we went to the golf course. Marshall is a complete Daddy's boy. It was the cutest thing ever. I didn't get the cute pictures because I was in the van nursing Kambria, but here are a few. Jake would hit the ball and then he would rest his arm on his club with his foot crossed and watch where his ball went, so Marshall would hit the ball a few feet in front of him just down the hill and then cross his foot rest his arm on the club and look out for his ball (buddy its right in front of you I would think LOL)... That was when I was in the van, but so so so so cute!! Jake took his Jacket off, Marshall took his off. Jake would grab several balls and set them near him, Marsh would do the same. He loves to hit the ball, we just need to get him some clubs his size. Maybe thats a good Christmas gift ????







And here is a picture of Kambria asleep in her crib for the first time. She still sleeps next to the bed, because it makes me nervous still to have her so far away, but I tried her nap in the crib and it worked so so well.

25 Random things about me

I have been tagged forever ago by a friend, and here it finally is. I don't know if I can come up with 25 things but we will see.

1. I have to sleep on the side of the bed that is farthest from the door. Have to no matter. At home, hotels you name it.
2. My mom never left us alone growing up until we were over 18 years old. (Boy did she miss out on some fun vacations with just my dad!)
3. Jake and I have had over 15 different cars in the 8 years we have been married. (How embarrassing)
4. I love being a mom. My kids are the greatest thing ever!! And my husband is the best man around. Love him so much!!
5. I love to sleep, I need my sleep, I used to sleep too much probably before I had kids. (I don't know what do you think Camille .... Astronomy??)
6. I love to cook, wish I was better. There are only a hand full of receipes I cook because I know they will turn out good.
7. I love chocolate!
8. Jake and I have known and been friends with one another since we were sophmores in HighSchool.
9. My mom paid for our first date (Ha Ha) we wanted to go skiing but neither of us had money, so she paid. What a mom!!!
10. I think Men in Uniforms are sexy. I miss Jake wearing his Police uniform (the guy does have to be decent looking as well, not just everyone can look good in one)
11. I am obsessed with American Idol
12. I am very shy until I get to know people, but once I know you ... I will talk your ear off, so watch out!
13. I love camping, Jake makes it so comfortable and so much fun.
14. I like to Watch a Baby Story on TLC
15. I wish I was an organized person. I know what I want my house to look like, but can't get myself to do it.
16. I love penny slots in Vegas (Is this a sin???) They are so fun to me, because you can't really loose much money, but I can make money. I know I am a looser.
17. I am afraid of loosing my family.
18. I took choir in Highschool but I ususally just lip sang the songs cause I can't sing, but I wanted to go on choir tour. LOL
19. I am named after the song, Brandy your a fine girl!
20. I am so stubburn!
21. I could eat pizza for every meal
22. I love country music
23. I love to travel. Jake & I have been on 3 cruises, to NYC, to Tampa to see a Bucs game, To California many of times, to Yellowstone, to Southern Utah, and many more to come. We are hoping to go to HI for our 10 year anniversary. We will see!!
24. I am a person watcher. I think I drive Jake nuts, because we can be at a restaurant and he will be talking to me, but I wouldn't know cause I am listening to the people next to us. Bad habit, I am doing much better and not listening in on others conversations.
25. I love being a stay at home mom. It is the hugest blessing to me. I love being able to teach my kids and see the new things that they do. Jake has to work his butt off extra hard for me to do it, but Jake and I wouldn't change it for anything!!!

That was really hard thinking of 25 things about myself, they are kinda lame, but there you go!! So if I don't talk to you much, now you know its cause I don't know you well. But once I do, you will wish you didn't know me, cause I can talk a lot :0)

2 months and growing

Kambria had her 2 month appointment today. Jake and I were talking the other day and we were saying how much bigger Kambria seemed to us then Marshall, shall we compare:
2 months:
Kambria
9lb 10 oz 18.5 %tile
22" long 34%tile

Marshall
11 lbs 50%tile
23" long 50%tile
15.4" head 25%tile

It was interesting to me, because I remember Marshall being so skinny and Kambria seems so chunky to me, yet Marshall weighed more and was longer by an inch!!
But Kambria is healthy and doing good!!
I am going to try and find a picture of Marshall at 2 months and then I will post a picture of them both at the same age.

Marshall's Pledge of Allegiance

Marshall has learned his Pledge of Allegiance at school, here he is, it is a bit soft, so turn off my music at the bottom of the blog and turn your volume up! I love love love Marshall's voice!!!

Jake's Work Trip to South Dakota

Jake was gone to South Dakota for an entire week, yes it was lonely at home, but we survived. Jake went for an investigation,and it was a different experience. He was able to see some neat things though. The stopped at Mount Rushmore, it was 10 degrees below so they got out snapped some pictures and continued on there way. There hotel was near the Missouri River, which you can see was freezing cold. There were a lot of geese in South Dakota and he visited an Indian Reservation which reminded him of a thrid world country. Here are a few pictures!!

Let me start off by saying yes i know i take a lot of pics of Kambria, but i still love Marshall!!!! She is just so little and ever changing. This has been a long week. Jake left early on Sunday Morning to South Dakota for work, and was to come back yesterday, but the snow ws so bad they stayed the night in Cheyenne and will be home today. I have took most of these pics to send to him. They are all from my phone, so not great quality. She is getting big, weighs about 10-11 lbs and is so much fun. Marshall is a great kid too, and loves to help with Kambria.

8 weeks already

Man time flies. I seriously cannot believe that Kambria is already 8 weeks old! She is changing so much, it is kinda sad, but happy times. She is the best baby that I could ask for. She cries only when she is hungry or needs her bum changed. But when she is hungry, don't mess with her, give her food quickly or you will get an ear full! She is super smiley now, and loves to look at everything. She follows objects now and watches as they move around. She loves watching Marshall's every move. She has coo'd a few times and opens her mouth often like she wants to let noise out, but I am still waiting for when she starts to coo a lot (That is my favorite). I just love being a mom. I love my children. Jake has been out of town and he took the camera and video camera so here are some pics from my cell phone, not the best quality. Oh and last night was an awesome night, I put her to bed and went to bed myself, she slept for 4.5 hours woke up ate, went right to sleep for 3 hours ate went right back to sleep and then didn't wake up till Marshall had to be driven to school. I hope the trend sticks, it was so lovely to wake up and feel like I had energy. She has her 2 month check up next week, I am anxious to see how much she weighs, but not excited for the shots!!

Our Many Cars

We recently got a minivan and sold our civic, in doing so I have reflected back on how many cars Jake and I have had in our marriage. It is an ongoing joke with our families, because we do trade cars a lot!!! We also have had several dogs! My mom the other day said, "Its a good thing you can't trade in kids, or Marshall would have been gone a long time ago ha ha ha." So here are our vehicles. If I have forgotten any let me know.

Somewhere in there Jake had an old Bronco and an even older Bronco and a 59 Buick (this we did not drive, but we did own.)
So if I have them all, we have now owned 17 cars, that is really sad!!!!

a 1977 Jamboree motorhome, given to us by my parents
a 1996 21' Coachmen trailer
and now a 2005 Prowler
we owned a boat
and we have owned 3 different 4 wheelers and we can't forget Jake's Harley Davidson





I don't have pictures at the moment of all our vehicles. But some may say WOW that is too many, yeah maybe, but with each one we have such good memories.

I love my Family

I have been thinking a lot lately about how much I love my life. I have a great life and a great family to spend it with! That probably sounds weird, but it is so true. I am so blessed to be able to stay at home to raise my beautiful children ... its a struggle sometimes and we are house poor, but it is so worth it. I have an amazing husband who works his butt off for our family and then comes home and loves to be with us. I have a 4 year old that is full of life and makes me so tired, but everyday he makes me smile and realize the little things that are so important. He loves his little sister and is the best helper ever!! I have a 7 week old who is so beautiful and loves to stare at our faces and take it all in. She loves to watch Marshall and is so smiley now.

I have decided we all in our home have addictions, it would go as follows: Jake is addicted to Rock Band, he and his buddy Jon could and do play that game for hours ... luckily they have patient wives.(next time I will take some pics of them, just to prove the addiction)

Marshall's would be Mario Party on the Wii. If I were to let him he would play it all day long, but I don't. So when he is not playing it on the Wii, he is still playing it, jumping around the house being Mario or Bowser, taking away my hotels and my stars... he is obsessed with that game. He used to always play Primary but now it is Mario Party.



And I am obsessed with feeding Kambria ha ha ha, not because of my choice, but she is a little pig. I also like to eat myself, food is pretty important to me!!! Jake's family will laugh, because when we get together at our home and I have prepared a meal .... we will bless the food and then I go right over and help myself. I figure why wait for everyone else, I made the food, I want to eat it :0)




And last, Marshall is so cute, yesterday he wanted to take care of Kambria, so I laid her on the floor and he was sitting next to her. He took his sock off and was waving it over her head saying, "Kambria do you want this sock, do you, do you?" and then he laughed and said, "You don't want this sock it is smelly, it has been on my stinky feet all day." and then chucked the sock. It was so cute that I said your a good brother Marsh and he said, "STOP listening to me mom!!" He is so cute with her, I just love watching them.




I am truly greatful for Jake and for all that he does for me and for our family. He is the best husband and dad ever. I love my family so much and love being able to experience new things with them all the time.
