Christmas Day

Christmas is my most favorite Holiday of the season. I love it so much! We had a lot of fun this year. We started off by going to see Savior of the World, as I mentioned in that post .. it was amazing, I loved it, and I will be going again next year, we had a Christmas Party will all of my extended family, with Jake's work, we went to the Christmas with Natalie Cole at the Conference Center, had a wonderful Christmas Eve, and then Christmas was so nice!

The kids slept great, woke up at 8am and we headed in to see what Santa had left. Marshall was so excited. We took turns opening the gifts .. Marsh then Kam. Marshall was pulling off some tape and his fist went up and hit his nose and gave him the worst bloody nose he has ever had, he was ok, didn't cry just put some toilet paper up his nose and kept on going. After the gifts we ate some yummy breakfast. I had made a yummy egg, sausage breakfast casserole and we had biscuits with jelly. My parents came over next to check out the gifts. Later that afternoon we went to grandma Hall's house to have lunch! We ate, opened a few gifts, and visited. Then over to Grandma Gotbergs for some dinner and visiting. That evening Grandma and Papa Cutright stopped by to check out the gifts. The kids then played with some toys and off to bed we went. It was such a nice relaxing day, I loved it. Marshall's main gift was a Nintento DS with a few games. Papa and Grandma Hall gave him some Zhu Zhu pets and the city, and he got some super fun dart guns and a Boondocks gift card from Papa and Grandma Cutright. Kambria got some fun toys, and PJs. Jake gave me a new nice crock pot, and he got a hat. We both got passports as well. We have been saving up for the last year for a trip to Hawaii, but it is just too expensive, so we found a trip to Cancun for our 10 year anniversary, and because I could possibly be pregnant by July ... we have it planned for January and we are soooo excited!!!! So our trip is Christmas/10 Year Anniversary. We are going for 5 nights / 6 days to an all inclusive resort right on the beach!!! We got the sweetest deal on it, and we are getting close to warm weather.

I am thankful for this time of the year, I am thankful that we can focus more on our Savior and his birth. I am glad that we have taught Marshall the reason for Christmas. I know kids love presents and I know that Santa is fun, But I really want him to know why we even celebrate it. I am thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ and that he came to earth, that he suffered for all of us so that we can repent of our sins and return to live with him again! The season is ending, which is nice for all the commotion to slow down, but I can't wait for it again next year!!!

Christmas Eve

We have a fun tradition that we have taken part in each Christmas Eve since we have been married. Jake's family gets together to do fondue, and then opens presents from one another. It is always a lot of fun. This year we had a Chocolate fountain, Reese's fondue, Cheese, and some Stinky Cheese pot! We had tons of stuff to dip away in the yumminess. We had rolls, meat, cauliflower, banana's, apples, pretzels, chips, marshmallows, little wieners, carrots, and much much more!! It was DELICIOUS!! We then exchanged gifts and got a lot of fun stuff. We also gave the kids a pair of P.J's on Christmas Eve, which we like to do every year :0) I am thankful that I got all my wrapping done about a week prior, so we then went home and went to bed!!! Our family also made a Christmas movie for all to watch. It was so funny .. we think .. we laughed our heads off making it. It is called, The Swine Flu Stole Christmas. It inclued Sponge Bob (Marshall), Napoleon Dynamite (Jake) and our family. Maybe if you are super lucky you will be able to see it (and then you will think we are soooo strange!!).

Jake's sisters were trying on some Heels to see whom they would fit. They didn't fit anyone, except for this lovely individual!!!

Yes that would be yours truly ... Jacob! I must say his calves are super sexy! And he walked very well in them also :0)

1 Year Old

My Little Baby is 1 years old today!!! I cannot believe how fast this year has went. It is amazing that in one year she has learned to: hold up her own head, sit, roll, scoot, crawl, eat, sleep thru the night, take 8 steps, play and love us .. Plus many more things! I love Kambria so much. Again it took forever for her to get here as well, but the blessings are so worth it. She lights up the room, she is noisy, she is crazy, but she is Kambria. I love watching as she learns new things. She gets so excited when she can put a toy into a cup or into the slot it goes, its easy to us, but hard for her and she gets so excited. She is so amazed when she takes a few steps, she will stand back up and clap! She loves to give Marshall hugs! She loves to see Daddy walk in from work. She loves to growl at Daddy. She loves to follow Marshall around, because she knows he is going to leave food, candy, a drink or something she can eat in her reach and not even realize it. She will probably have at least 1 minute to eat on it before mom catches her and takes it away :0) She loves to copy cat people. She loves diving at you. She is so loud as I mentioned, but have you heard her .... if so you know I am not exaggerating. In Primary ... she is so loud ... its hard to keep her in there. There is nothing quiet about her, AT ALL!!! Kambria was so much fun at her Birthday Party! She knew just how to open her presents, she knew how to eat her cake, she loves her toys and plays with them all day!! She is such a joy. Her and Marshall are so fun with each other. They also have started fighting with each other. If Marshall has something Kam wants, the tantrums have started. If she wants to leave the room and Marshall doesn't want her to ... He just holds her leg so she can't move and she screams so loud. Its annoying, but fun to see them interact at the same time.
I am happy that we have Kambria here. It is crazy having two kids with Birthdays right before Christmas, but we don't care, we are just glad they are with us here on earth.
Happy Birthday Kambria!! We love you, we are excited to see what this next year will be like with you. I am excited to see how your personality develops as you grow and learn ... she is a smarty pants just like Marshall!!!!

5 years Old

Happy Birthday Marshall!

I can't believe that Marshall is 5 years old ... time goes way to fast.

We sure love Marshall and we are so thankful that he is in our family. It took us a long time to get pregnant, and it was very emotional, but I wouldn't trade that for anything. When I found out i was pregnant I really didn't believe it, I took probably 4 or more tests and then the next day went to my Dr to make sure it was really true. I am a bit forgetful, but I remember the day very well. The night of the 19th we went over to the Cutright Home and Jake gave me a wonderful blessing, we then headed over to the hospital to be induced. I was already in labor and didn't even know it. Needless to say I was in labor for 24 hours, pushed for 4 hours and then Marshall became stuck and his breathing was not good, so they took me in for an emergency C-section. I had an allergic reaction to one of the medicines that they gave me, so I was all weird, Marshall was born and a code blue was called. He wasn't breathing. After a long 5 mins or longer .... Marshall was just fine. He was in the Level 2 Nursery for several days, but he is healthy and has never had any problems. We are so lucky, and so blessed.

Marshall is an energetic 5 year old. He takes after his dad and loves video games, he is very smart at them as well. He loves transformers, bakugans, Lego's and he really enjoyed playing soccer this year! Marshall is very stubborn, if he doesn't want to do something he isn't going to do it! He he in Preschool again this year and loves it. He loves to learn, sing and loves doing art projects. I often times find him in the office with my scrapbook stuff making airplanes, castles, or whatever his imagination can come up with. He loves to help me make stuff, and he enjoys helping me cook as well. He loves playing waiter. He will take our order, write it on the notepad and then go and cook it up on his oven and bring it out to us. He will check on us and ask how it tastes. He is so fun!! He is full of life and energy and we just love him!!! The past month Marshall has started to become less picky. He will at least try what is for dinner and has started to really eat most everything ... YEAH for Mom. Next Year Marshall will start Kindergarton, that is so weird to me, he is excited and know he will excel. Marshall can count to 100 with little to no help at all. He can tell time, he can sound out some words, he can figure out puzzles very well. He really is a smart kid. And we all know that he says the most random, funny things!! He is learning to make friends and has so much fun having play dates. His most favorite friend right now is a little boy in the ward Tyler. They have a blast together. Marshall will say he is his best friend. They play all the time! They are both 100% Boy when they are together ... CRAZY, is what that equals. We are so happy for all that Marshall has accomplished this year and look forward to another great year with him.

Marshall & Kambria's Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Marshall and Kambrias birthdays. Marshall wanted to have a Sponge Bob party. So Mom made a Sponge Bob cake for Marshall and a Princess Wand for Kambria. We had all of our family over for a little celebration. We had Navajo Tacos for dinner, then we played some fun games. I can't believe that Marshall is 5 years old, and Kambria is 1!!!!

The kids first played pin the pants on SpongeBob. Jake drew a fantastic picture of SpongeBob, and then we colored it. I made 11 pair of pants!

After that fun game we had a crabby patty relay race. They had to put on an oven mitt, pick up a spatula, pick up a crabby patty bun with the spatula and run it down to a bowl, then do the crab run back to the line. Afterwards, the men were so funny and were throwing the buns underneath there legs!

We then opened up presents. Kambria went first. She was so cute ... she got the whole wrapping paper thing. She was a pro at opening them up. Marshall was so patient as Kambria opened up all her gifts.

She got this super cute sweater jacket from Jen and Jonathan, she unwrapped it and then cuddled it like it was a blanket :0)

Next Marshall opened up his gifts. He was so excited for the wonderful things he got. Thanks to everyone for all of the gifts.

We then sang happy Birthday! Kambria got a bit nervous, and almost cried. Marshall had to blow several times to get his 5 candles to blow out.

We then just talked and chilled for the evening. Thank you everyone for coming, it was a lot of fun, and the kids got a lot of fun gifts!!!!

Marshall's Preschool Christmas Program

Marshall had his school Program on Friday, it was so cute! They had there reindeer hats on and noses painted red. Marshall had been so excited for me to hear all of his songs. He actually sang loud and knew all of the songs! It was so much fun to see. Most of it is on video, but here are a few pictures:

Coookies and Snow!

So Jake thought it would be a good idea to give Kambria a chocolate chip cookie .. we promote healthy eating in our home ... so we did, and here is the end result!! But please don't fret, she 100% loved her cookie!!!!

Here is what we woke up to this morning .... heavy, wet snow!! (This Picture was taken after we had already shoveled the drive way) and as we were leaving for church, the flakes were HUGE!! That would be the snow flakes, not our neighbors :0) Gotta love the snow though, it means that It is Christmas time!! 12 days to go :0)

Date Night

Last night Jake and I went with the Moss' on a wonderful night out. Thank you to my parents for watching our kids for 6 hours!! We appreciate you so much :)
The night started out by heading over to 5 Guys! After some delicious burgers and being 100% full of grease, we headed downtown.
Jake and I took the freeway, we did not know that the freeway was closed at 600 N, so the traffic was horrible to say the least. We finally made it downtown and the traffic was even worse! Just imagine .... 20,000+ headed to the conference center, another several thousand to the Energy Solutions Center, plus all those people to see the lights, and you have instant chaos downtown. We could not find anywhere to park, so Jake dropped me off, because I was meeting a gal on the corner of West/North temple to drop off a pan I had made for her. Well finally at 6:50 I found the lady in her van in traffic. Stopped at a light about 5 cars back, so I ran through the cars and passed the pan through the window, that had to look funny!!
Anyway, Jake parked about 5 blocks away, we headed in line to see The Wondrous Gift of Christmas with Natalie Cole and David McCullough. Neither Lisa or I had brought our purse, so we were able to go into the express line to get in :), well who would know you had to go through a metal detector to get in. Jake had his gun with him, so he asked an usher what he was to do, he said you can't bring it in!! Are you kidding me, we are parked 5 blocks away, like he wants to leave his gun in the car in SLC. So they called for security, security came and they just had to have 2 guys check is Police Id, Badge and we were good ... so much for the express lane :)
Once we were in, we found a lovely seat and we enjoyed a wonderful concert! Natalie Cole has an amazing voice, and we all know the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is amazing, as well as the orchestra. I would have to say My most favorite number was the organ solo, he was amazing!! I didn't care much for the dancing, but Loved the music!! We had such a lovely night. It was fun to hear all the Christmas songs, it really brings the spirit of Christmas to life!
Now for the week ahead, it will be busy busy busy!!

1 Year Pictures

Kambria will be 1 on Decemeber 22nd!! I cannot believe it. Because it is so close to Christmas and the Month is busy I decided today was a good day for Pictures! She is so cute and has such a fun personality. We are just loving her in our family. She has taken 3 steps and is super close to walking! I will do a 1 year update, but for now enjoy our little Princess :0)

Let It Snow!!!!

Normally I depise the snow, but I am actually liking it this year!!! This morning we went out to make a snowman, but the snow was way toooo soft. So instead we played in it :0)
