Bath Time

Our Children LOVE the bath. Kam will go in at all hours of the day and try to climb in ... thus we must remember to keep the door shut!! Marshall loves to swim in the tub. But one thing is for sure, Both of our kids HATE having their hair washed!! Tonight I gave them a bath and Kam was crazy. Marshall freaked out while washing his hair, and kam scooted over to him and would pat his back and then look at him in the face, then pat his back, it was soooo cute!! I tell you what, two kids is better then one ... they are so cute together. I love it!!! Enjoy some pictures, I apologize but there are a few butt pics of Kam because they were too cute not to post!!

Our Kids

As my countdown to Cancun gets closer I am getting anxiety over leaving my kids. Don't get me wrong, I am soooooooo excited, I can't even wait. I know that our Mom's will take GREAT care of them, and spoil them, and they won't even miss us ... but 6 days is kinda long. I have left Marshall that long before, it won't be as hard, but I have never left Kambria that long!
Why would I miss them you ask, because of this:

Look at this face :0) He has decided this blue pillow he stole from Gma Cutright a while back, is his favorite, he will lay on it while playing with his toys!!

Look at that hair, she pulls EVERYTHING out of it, I have no hope of her looking stylish!!!

These two precious kids are my life. I love them more then anything! I will miss them, but it will be so worth the break :0) Good luck Grandma's the one on the left, she is a MONSTER!!!!!

I just love my kids so much!! Some days I wonder why I ever signed up to be a Mom, or why Marshall is mellow and Kambria is crazy, or do I really want another kid, or the list goes on. But then I look at my kids, and how much they love me, and I could not picture my life without them! I truly have great kids. They both are sooo smart, they are well behaved, they love each other, and they love Jake and I. Marshall's new thing if Kambria is bugging him, "Mom I think Kambria is ready for a nap." He will say that even if she just woke up, all because he doesn't want her to take his toys!! Kambria is walking all over the place, she won't even crawl anymore! She is getting 4 teeth right now, so that isn't fun. She is a good sharer, she likes to share her Binky and her slober, NO THANKS!!!

Dinner Time!

I know I said I was done with posts till after Cancun, but here i am again.
Dinner time has never been my favorite because Marshall and Jake are such picky eaters. But Jake has gotten TONS better and Marshall is slowly getting himself better as well. Then we have Kambria, and she is the best eater around!!!!!
Tonight we had crock-pot-Mexican chicken

and it was delicious, if you wish to make it look in the comments and follow the suggestion of adding cream cheese and limit the salsa to one cup ... serve with rice on hot tortillas ....UMMM yummy!! Kambria really enjoyed this meal. She loved the chicken, the corn, the black beans .......

Well Child Check-ups

Today Marshall and Kambria had there checkups! The Dr was so happy with there progress and said they are doing great, he even went as far as to say Kambria is above average, that her brain is working really well!!! Yeah for my smarties :0)
Marshall at 5 years old:
his weight is 31.4 lbs which is a blazing 1.22%tile he has only gained 1.4 lbs in 2 years
His Height is 41.5 inches which is 22.64%tile he has only grown 2 inches in 2 years
The Dr wasn't concerned ... he asked how he eats .. I replied crappy! He is such a picky eater and is never hungry. He did mention that what we need to be better at is make a meal at dinner, and he eats EXACTLY what we are eating, if he doesn't eat, he doesn't get anything at all until Breakfast. He said it is hard, but that way Marshall will learn that he needs to eat! He also stated that once Marshall starts to eat good, that his height will jump up. He stated that he has no food in his system so it is not producing the chemicals needed for growth! But he was still not concerned, because he has always been very low on both weight and height. He said that his Hemangioma on his tummy is looking good. It could take several more years, but eventually it will be totally gone!
Marshall is very smart. At Preschool yesterday he counted to 100 all by himself. The teacher was very proud of him as were Jake and I. Marshall will go into Kindergarten this year and is very excited for that.

Kambria at 1year:
Kambria weighs 21 lbs and is at 45.91%tile she actually lost weight from 1 week ago!
Kambria is 29 inches long at 48.21%tile she has grown 1.5 inches in 3 months
Kambria's head circumference is 18" at 70.18%tile
She is doing so good. She is walking very well all of a sudden. She says: mama, dada, uh-oh, thank you, boo and a few others.
She will eat anything you give her.
She still loves her blankets and binky.
If you can't see her the 3 places to check are 1st the dog food, 2nd the toilet (yuck), and 3rd Marshall's room, she loves Marshall's room.
She loves mommy and follows me everywhere, It's nice, but annoying at the same time!!

Our kids are doing great, and we couldn't be more happy about it.

I am so emotional today, and not sure why ... I start my clomid today, but haven't taken it yet, so that has nothing to do with it. It could be a combo of The female deputy being shot and killed today, the K-9 dog being shot and killed a few days ago and saving several officer lives (I can only imagine how neat the little memorial will be for Koda, not sure I will go because I think I would break down), possibly the fact that the world is becoming so scary ... it makes me nervous with Jake in the career that he is in, and knowing he would risk his life for the life of another. But none the less I am thankful for all the officers in this country that serve and protect us, without them the crime would be even worse then it is .. kinda scary to think about that!!! Well only 22 more days until Jake and I are in the sunny warm Cancun! Wish me luck this week as I am sure my emotions will be all over the place :0) Next update to come after Cancun.

Also Jake's Uncle passed away today after dealing with Cancer for the last little while. I am sorry to his family, I know that losing a brother or sister would be very difficult no matter how close to them you are. I know that he is with him Mom and Dad again, and that has to be pretty neat for him, as well he is no longer suffering. Its always hard for those left behind, however we have the knowledge of the gospel and that in time will help with the healing as we know that we will see him again.

Happy New Year!

It's a new year, I am happy ... we had a great 2009 and look forward to another wonderful year in 2010.

2009 was a fun year for us. We welcomed Kambria into the world and got to see her grow and develop into a 1yr old. She is so animated and so much fun, very different from Marshall, we Love them both!! They are perfect, I am happy to have 1 boy and 1 girl, and probably could be content with 2 children, but I know there is another child waiting, so one day that little someone will join us I hope. Marshall and Kambria are great friends, they are so cute together, they make our family so much fun. Jake and I really can't picture our life without them being part of it.


We took a family trip to Yellowstone and had a blast!! Jake and I went there for our Honeymoon, so going back 9 years later with our kids was a lot of fun for us. It brought back so many memories and created a lot as well.


Jake and I went to Disneyland for Mother's Day/Birthday and had a fun yet not so fun time. Coming home with me getting my gallbladder out!!!

Our family went to Long Beach for Jake's FOP Conference and had a blast. We spent one day in Disneyland, and many days on the Pier. The most fun to me was the day on the beach Boogie Boarding.

We celebrated our 9 year anniversary together. We are so thankful for our wonderful friendship and our amazing marriage. Marriage certainly has its ups and downs, but I couldn't ask for a better husband then Jake. I love him so much, and we have had am amazing 9 years together.


Jake was voted in for another 2 years as the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) Midvale Lodge. I was very happy that he had the support and that he proved he could do a good job! He took over mid year and has turned so many things for the better at Midvale Police. you really need an honest, fair, level headed person that can communicate with the administration, and that is what Jake gives them. He works many hours of his own time, to come up with ideas and suggestions to better the work place, and I am so proud of him for being willing and wanting to do that. For Jake Midvale is his career, so why not work hard to make it a good place to work at.

We had A fantastic Thanksgiving and a relaxing and wonderful Christmas.

And this list is just a small recap of all the many and wonderful things that 2009 brought us!

A few things that we are certain for in 2010:

A super fun trip to Cancun for Our 10 year anniversary!!!!

Marshall will start Kindergarten (so weird to me, he just isn't that old, but super smart .. he will do awesome.)

And the rest will be a mystery, but will be full of fun memories I am sure. I hope everyone had a good New Years Day, we did!!!

Jake was called out on an officer involved shooting, so I am waiting for him to come home but it is going to be a long time, so to sleep I go. The world is scary ... and the more scary the world becomes, the more scary Jake's job becomes. I know he loves his job, and that he has the spirit to guide and protect him ... that is a HUGE comfort! I just wish people would stop being so crazy ... but I suppose it is going to get a lot worse, and a lot more death and destruction. It is weird that when I was young, crime wasn't that bad, we would go ride our bikes to the candy store 10+ blocks away with no worries at all ... with no cell phones. In this day and age, I am not so sure I would let my kids do that, too bad, it was a lot of fun!!!
