Changes

I just love being a mom. It is so much fun as the kids change,to be able to see those changes and just love every minute of it. Marshall is getting so big. He will say things that make me laugh so hard, but I am not sure where he gets it at. Today I told him that I took some medicine that is making my mouth taste yucky, he said laughing, Good one mom, good one!!! Anytime you say a bad word, such as shutup or stupid, he catches you and you have to apologize. We were getting our car the other day and the dealer said stupid, Marshall looked at him and gasped. Me and Jake started laughing, he asked what and we had to inform him we don't say stupid. Ha ha ha!
Kambria is getting huge, she now realizes what her hands are for and she can throw her binki so far. She smiles and tries to coo. Me being the bad mom that I am . . . . I was so sick with a cold, so I took dayquil, a few days later Kambria was eating every hour and never was full. So confused was I. Well then my sister advised me by taking Nyquil I have dried up my milk . . . FRUSTRATING!!! So I have been nursing alot, drinking a lot of water and today I have started taking Fenugreek natural food vitamin things. They are supposed to help you produce more milk. The have the worst after taste and don't even think about burping because then you will probably throw up (sorry too much info I know!!)
Jake has been so busy with work and school that I pretty much feel like a single mom, often lonely, and lazy!! He will be leaving soon to go out of state and then my craziness will start. But so is life. Well I bought Kambria a blessing dress, I will take some pics and post them later.
So we finally did it! We got a minivan. I was one of those people who always said I WILL NEVER drive a minivan, however after having a second child and being jammed in our civic, I decided that it was greatly needed. I love it! It is so roomy, it has the dual sliding doors so Marshall can get in and out easily on his own. We have room for our stroller, and much more. We have been looking for months now, and found the one we liked for a great deal :0)
Sorry for all the rambling. I guess this is how I talk when I only seem to see kids all day. LOL

One Month Already ....

I cannot believe that Kambria is already 1 month old. The time went way tooo fast. She is growing so big. She is going to be tall like Jake, and Marshall poor kid will have my short genes. The last few days Kambria has started to smile, she has always had the upset tummy smile, but now when Marshall laughs, or we rub her face she smiles sooooo BIG at us, I love it!!! And then this morning I was talking to her, and she coo'd(however you spell that) back at me, it was soo stinkin cute. I love when they start talking in baby talk to you and she notices everything. She rolls side to side and if I grab her hands she will sit on her butt. She kicks her legs, they are very strong, she has a toy that goes by her feet and when she kicks it, it makes noises, she really thinks that is cool. We have all loved seeing her grow and just love having her as part of our family.

Here are some pictures of Marshall. He doesn't really have a real smile right now. He likes to be goofy and not serious. But they turned out cute! I am proud of Marshall and what a good brother he is. He would do anything for Kambria. He loves loves loves to sing to her, he loves to talk to her in a baby voice. He always checks on her to make sure she is okay. He is the best big brother. He has acted out a bit, and has tested my patience, but he is a good kid! I love being a mom, I am so thankful that I can stay home and raise them. I love watching Kambria as she notices and recognized things, I love to hold her and just stare at her. I love hearing Marshall sing, I love hearing him talk to Kambria. My kids are my joy, I am so thankful for Motherhood. I am thankful for Jake as well, for providing for our family, and being the best dad and husband that he can! I love my life!!

2 Weeks Already

It seems like I just had Kambria, but we have now passed two weeks. She had her appointment today and is doing great. Had I not had her early, yesterday would have been my scheduled C-section, I was glad to already be done with that part!! She was born weighing 7lb 1oz and dropped down to 5lb 15oz, well today she weighs 6lb 10.5oz and is 20.5 inches long. So she has gained weight and has grown 2 inches longer. She is the sweetest baby. She only cries when she is hungry and we just love her. She did have to have the PKU test done where they prick the heel, she cried so hard, it was so sad! Marshall was so sad for her, he didn't like hearing her cry like that. We are adjusting well and enjoying two kids. Marshall is doing great with having a sister, and we are so proud of what a great helper he is.

Best Big Brother

Marshall loves being a big brother. He is so cute with Kambria, if she even makes the slightest sound he is at her side. When she is in her swing, he is so funny, anytime he walks by he has to stop the swing because she is going too high. Anytime she is awake, he has to show her all his toys. He loves to help give her a bath, and loves to stand next to me when I change her diaper. He likes to hold her, and wishes he could carry her around .... I have tried to make sure he knows that he isn't quite old enough to do that yet! He loves Kambria so much and is the best big brother. He has said, "It is hard having a baby!" He then said because he doesn't get as much attention, but I have tried hard to make Marshall time! He also said the other day, "Mom I think you should get pregnant again so we can have another baby!" No thank you, we will talk about that in 18months to 2 years, if even then!!! He says some funny things, but overall he has finally adjusted well and is a great brother!

Kambria

Hello Family and Friends,
We are doing great and love having little Kambria as part of our family. Marshall loves being a big Brother. We wanted to let you all know that we are planning to Bless Kambria on Sunday, February 8th. The 1st Sunday is our Stake Conference. So it will be the 8th at 11:00, and then we will have some light lunch at the house after. Thanks to everyone that has helped us and fed us, we have sure appreciated it. I haven't had a chance to take her for pictures so I took some of my own, it turned out okay. When I get more pictures I will post them.
