The Zoo

We took Marshall to the Zoo today. It was fun, but very hot. Marshall had so much fun. We walked the whole zoo, and at the end we got some ice cream. Here are some of the pictures.
The leopard was out and about, it really wanted to get out, we are glad it didn't.

Happy 4th of July

We had such a wonderful day full of family. We were so excited to Celebrate our Indepence and our Freedom. We are thankful to live in a world where we can excercise our free will. We can worship as we want and live free. We Started our celebration on Thursday July 3rd. We went with my family to the Riverton Parade, it was so hot, but so much fun. Marshall enjoyed every minute of it. We then went to Ary's home and did fireworks. On Friday we had a BBQ at our home with friends and family. We had set up a few swimming pools, slip and slide and some awnings. Jake even made us a mister to escape some of the heat. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves . . . . . . I know that I did. Here are just a few pics.

Families are Forever

I was looking at a friends blog today and she had posted about something she saw on her friends blog. It touched me so much, I really felt like I wanted to share.
This is about a mom who just recently lost a little angel of their own (http://www.babymckallister.blogspot.com/). They have a sweet little video on their site that completely brought me to tears. I sat watching just crying, feeling the spirit so strong, and realizing how fragile life is. What great examples these parents are, I truly don't know if I would be that strong given the situation.

I like background, so I was looking at there blog and it states, "This morning they went in for another stress test on baby Mac. Sadly, the doctor's were unable to find a heartbeat. Cali said that she could feel him kicking and moving last night and that he even had the hiccups, so his passing must have occurred sometime during the night. They are absolutely heartbroken, as we all are, but they are in good spirits and are doing as well as can be expected."

I know I don't have a lot of money, but this really touched me, not even knowing who they are, but knowing the pain they must be feeling.

I am so thankful for my family, I am thankful for the gospel and the knowledge that families are forever. I look back at Marshall's birth and think what a blessing it is that I still have him. Heavenly Father must have known that he was needed on this earth and he must have a pretty neat mission to fulfill. Children are such a wonderful blessing, I can't even imagine what these parents go through. I have such a strong testimony of the gospel and again I am so greatful that families are forever and that we will see and be with our loved ones again.

Last Week

I had a very fun week. On tuesday night Natalie and I drove up to Rexberg to visit Alison. At 1:01am on Wed morning Alison had her baby boy, his name is James. He is so cute.

Then on Saturday Morning, early early . .. Jake and I drove down to St George to help BJ's mom move some stuff into her new home. It was a long drive, but very fun. They went golfing 2 different times, I am not a golfer, but I enjoyed driving the golf cart. We went to the factory stores and ate ate and ate. I had such an enjoyable week, and drove about 16 hours total. I think I am done driving for a while.

So I finally took some pictures of Jakes Harley. It is such a cool bike. Jake loves it. He loves taking it for rides in the evening when the sun is setting. If we ever sell the bike he will miss it so bad. He is so lucky to have won it. Enjoy the pictures.

Happy Fathers Day!

I know it is a little early, however since I had time today, I just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to my Dad, Jake's Dad and mostly to Jake. Jake is the best husband and Dad that anyone could ask for. He works so hard for our family. Jake is so patient, so caring, and so understanding and has the greatest sense of humor. We have had the most fun times together throughout our friendship and our marriage. Becoming a Dad was probably one of the days he would like to not remember, my delivery, but the greatest day in our life as well. Jake was stuck without his wife, without his son, hoping that we were both okay. How hard would that be. He was so caring and so concerned for our well being. I am so thankful to have a husband that is strong in the church, holds the priesthood and would do anything for me and Marshall. He is the hardest worker and is always thinking about others. I Love you Jake. Here are some pictures of Jake.

So Everyone always says that Marshall looks just like me. Well if this Look-alike Meter is correct then he only looks more like me by 6%. This is kinda nerdy but was fun at the same time. I hope you enjoy!!
