Disneyland Vacation Day 4

Monday we spent mostly in Disneyland. That night we went to Goofy's Kitchen. It is a bit pricey, however it was the best money spent. It was so much fun. It is a buffet and the food is so good. While you are eating Goofy and some of his friends come around and you can get their signatures and get your picture taken. Also randomly Goofy starts dancing and the kids can run and gather round and dance with him. It was so much fun!! Kambria was so scared of Goofy! Kambria ate so much chocolate her entire face/hair/shirt was covered.

Disneyland Day 5 and 6 / Star Wars

Tuesday and Wednesday were spent around the parks having fun going on ride after ride. On Wednesday we went over to the Brother Bear area ...and played over there for hours. Marshall did rock climbing, the tire ride and climbed the ropes. Kambria was just happy to be out of the stroller and ran and ran and ran.

On Wednesday Marshall wanted to do the Jedi Training Camp. They have an area where the master Jedi comes out and he picks about 15 kids to come up and wear a cloak and they get light sabers and they learn how to fight and then at the end they either get chosen to fight Darth Maul or Darth Vader. The show started at 10:30, so we got there at 10:00 so we were in the front. When they were picking the kids to go up Marshall was jumping and screaming and Jake was waving his arms around, Marshall did not get picked, it was a sad moment of crying and disappointment. Ever since we planned our vacation he had told us he was going to fight Darth Vader and had been so excited. As parents we felt bad that he wasn't chosen because we knew how bad he wanted to get picked. So Thursday Morning we made a sign for Marshall that read, "The force is strong with Me" it had an arrow pointing down to Marshall. He had bought a few Star Wars potato heads so we cut up the boxes and taped the guys to the sign as well. That morning we showed up to the show at 10:00 again.

The guy looked at Marshall and got a huge smile on his face and said to Marshall, "I do feel the force is strong with you Jedi, come on up!" Marshall was so excited, he ran up there and was on top of the stage in front center. He was so happy! They trained them how to fight the right way and then the kids started to fight Darth Maul, only a few lucky kids got to fight Darth Vader, and Marshall was one of them!!! I am so glad that our sign paid off!Afterwards we headed over to California adventure to get a few signatures from the princess' and then we were on our way back to las vegas.

On our way home we stayed at the Stratosphere, the rooms were so nice! Since we stayed there we were able to go to the top for free. That is high up there, it made me a little bit nervous, but the view was amazing! We stayed in Vegas an extra night to spend more time with Jake's Dad. We went swimming, went back up to the top of the stratosphere and had a buffet lunch! My camera died and I couldn't find the charger so there are no pictures of the Stratosphere view, but it was amazing!!

Final Days of our Disneyland Vacation

Saturday morning we headed to St. George to stay with Natalie and BJ. Once we arrived we packed a lunch and then we went hiking on the red rocks. It was so pretty and so much fun. While we were climbing up the rocks we heard a rattle, Jake looked and there was a rattle snack, we all slowly backed away and let it climb into the rock and chill out and then we detoured and went around it. Kind of too close!! Some of the kids actually walked right past it. I tell you what, Jake was in total heaven. He loves to climb, he loves adventure. All the way to vegas he was telling me about when they lived in vegas he was about 8 years old and he and his friends would go to the desert during the day for hours and chase lizards and climb. I think we could have done this all day and Jake would have been okay with it!! We then got ice cream and then headed back to relax. That night we ate some dinner at Cafe Rio, the kids played while the adults chatted and then we went to bed. Woke up and went shopping at the factory stores and then headed home! I am pretty sure the Cafe Rio gave me food poisoning or something. i was totally fine all vacation, but after I ate dinner my stomach was uneasy and for the next 24hours I couldn't stay away from the toilet. Thankfully Tuesday morning I woke up as good as new. We had such a fun vacation. It was busy, but super fun! I love going on vacation with my little family. Our next family trip will be in July to Bear Lake for 10 days :)

Our New Roof

This weekend Jake and some family/friends re-roofed the front of our house. Our insurance covered the cost minus our deductible due to wind damage. I didn't realize how hard it would be and figured we could surely be in favor of saving $500.00, so the boys went to work. It was so much more then I could have ever imagined. Our roof is pretty steep and it took two days to rip them all off and put the new on. After day 2 Jake was literally dead. Still recovering today!! But it looks so nice, I am so glad it is done. Us women and kids enjoyed playing outside, it was such nice weather. I'm happy to report that we had to many shingles, so we will have a small amount of extra money left over.

Jake promised Marshall that he could go on the roof when it was finished, so he lived up to his promise! I don't think Marshall would do it again.

Soccer

Marshall is playing Soccer again this year and he is just loving it! He is doing so good this year, he actually understands the concept and has made several goals. He is on a team with Kenzie and Lilly and his best neighbor friend Tyler. It has been a lot of fun this year. Here are a few pictures. Marshall is grey #5.
