Dear Brandy,
I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I LOVE YOU. Tomorrow we will have been married for 11 years. I can't believe how fast time goes by. For those of you that don't know. We met in high school and were friends for many years. After I returned from my mission I saw Brandy in church at my homecoming. I immediately knew that I was going to marry her and I made sure that I did what I needed to "get the girl'. I have never questioned whether or not we are supposed to be together. Brandy and I will be together forever. I love you lots Brandy! Thank you for being such a great Wife, Mother and friend. I can't wait to get another year of marriage under our belt. Knowing us, it should be another interesting year.


Aww thanks Jake!! I am so thankful to be married to you as well!!! Our life is perfect and I couldn't ask for a better husband. Our interesting times are what make the memories, I'm so thankful for all of our memories!! I love you so much and I am so glad that you "got the girl" lol!! You truly treat me amazing and provide for our family and you are the best dad ever! Happy 11years, I also am excited to start our 12th year together. I am sure this will be our biggest year for change yet, and I am excited to make that change with you!

Fairview

On Sunday we went to Sacrement and then headed to fairvew Canyon to visit Jakes parents who were up at Fairvew Lakes. It was so pretty up there. We planned on staying until 7:00pm and heading home, but they talked us into staying in their extra tent with extra blankets they had, and we are so glad we did!!!

Herriman Days

A few weeks ago was Herriman Days. We took the kids to the Parade in the morning. Kambria had a blast, she loved collecting the candy and then eating candy while she waited for more!! Ary, Kurt and the kids came with us. We walked up from our home. Afterwards we played a game of baseball with the kids in the front yard, it was really fun!!

That night we took the kids to the carnival. They went on a few rides and walked around and ate some cotton candy and then we went home to watch the fireworks from our front yard. Jake put out a blanket and pillows, we got cozy and watched them. Then we hit the bed! We had a fun day!!

Marshall found his friend Mason from school and went on several rides with him as well. Kambria was so scared at first on this ride, but enjoyed it towards the end!

Splash Park

After school today we met Alison and her kids over at the splash park. The kids had so much fun. I love living in Herriman, there are so many splash parks and trails to ride our bikes. Thanks for the invite Alison it was fun!! I didn't bring my camera, so just 2 pictures with the phone :)

Dance Festival

Today was Marshall's Dance Festival. He has been so excited for this day! The Kindergartner's did the Hokey Pokey and he did a great job! He would come home from school and let me know they practiced or how well he did. I am so thankful that Marshall loves school!!

We walked to school, Marshall went in with his class and then kambria and I went and sat down on the lawn to wait for the program to begin. Within a few minutes there were Police and Fire/Ambulance hurrying to the North side of the school. It made everyone really curious what was going on, but none of us knew. I figured someone must have been hurt, because there were a lot of ambulance and police. Soon after the principal came over and advised everyone that we all needed to move off of the field so that they could land life flight! A 4 yr old boy ran in front of a car and was run over. He was in critical condition and had to be flown to Primary Children's. There was a huge concern with all the parents, everyone was so saddened and worried for the families involved. People were crying and worried. Then a gal stood up on her chair to get every one's attention. She stated she knew we were all of different faiths, but could we please have a moment of silence and have a prayer for this little boy. She then said a short prayer. How thoughtful of her to do that. I then started crying! It is so crazy how your life can be turned upside down in an instant, we truly cannot be too careful with our children, and those we love. You just never know when something tragic will happen!! It was a sad situation and we pray the little guy will pull through!!!

Unified Police

Jake has been a Police Officer with Midvale for almost 9 years now! He has really enjoyed his job, and has worked really hard to get where he is at. He started in Patrol and moved quickly into Detectives. He has been a property crimes detective, Homicide/Robbery Detective, Sex Crimes Detective, he was the fire investigator, crime scene detective, FOP President and at one point was on the SWAT Team. He has always done well no matter what his role was.

Midvale City has zero money and they were going to have to lay off several Police Officers and Firemen, so instead they looked into their options and they chose to merge with Unified Police Department. It was a great choice! Everyone kept their job, and it will be the best for the Police Department in the long run. Jake was offered the Sex Crime Detective, but felt like it wasn't what he should do at this time, so he will stay at the Midvale Office as the Property Crime Detective and will still be able to be on the ICE TASK FORCE!

Today Jake was sworn in as a Unified Police Officer. He is so Sexy in his uniform, he doesn't wear it very often, but it is nice when he gets to :) After the presentation we were treated to a yummy BBQ!

Marshall's Kindergarten Program

Today was Marshall's Kindergarten Program and they were given their Hawk Award. Marshall has loved being in Kindergarten and has learned so much. He knows his phone number, address, how to spell his first and last name, how to tie his shoes, zip and button a jacket, he knows all his letters and sounds, he knows all of his site words, he is an expert in math and so much more.

We are so proud of Marshall. He loves school, and he loves to learn. He loves making friends, he loves making and joining groups and is a good kid. He has made some really good friends, and I am so happy for that. They are all good kids with good parents!

We love you Marshall and we are so excited for you to start 1st grade!!

The program was cute, they sang several songs, said their season poems and then received their awards.
