Eastern Caribbean Cruise

Jake & I went on this Cruise on January 24, 2004. We went with The Jarvis Family. It was the most fun thing that we have done up to this point in our lives. It was a journey. We went on American Airlines. We boarded the plane and there was a problem, so we sat on there for a good hour. They then had us exit the plane and we stood around the airport forever a good 6-8 hours before we finally left for the cruise. Our ports that we went to were: Half moon Cay, Isla Tortola & St. Thomas. If you have never been on a cruise, it is a must. The only problem we ran into . . . . was that I had the blurry eye syndrome. My vision was horrible. I could not read anything and I was so dizzy. We played BINGO a lot and Jake won lots. He was known on the ship as the Bingo Boy. We were the youngest couple on the ship!!!

Sammy - Our First Dog

Here are some pictures of Sammy. She was our first dog. She was such a great dog. However she was an escape artist. Here are a few examples: We made a dungen of a dog house. Chain link fence cement at the bottom so she couldn't dig her way out. Well she chewed through the chain link to get out. we put board up, she still got out. She would run, scale the fence and jump over our 6' fence.
So we tied her to 2 cynder blocks in the middle of the yard. She dragged them to the fence and jumped over. She hung there until her collar broke.
No matter, she got out.
When we lived in Bountiful she was on our balcony (2nd floor) we came home from work and she was gone, she jumped off. We did find her like a week later.
She was tied up camping, we came back from a walk, she had ruined our tent and flattened the air mattress we had borrowed from family. She was a crazy one, but a great one.
She would sleep on the bottom of our bed, if Jake & I would talk at night she would moan, like she was telling us to Be Quiet!!
She was the best dog ever. She loved to swim, loved to run, and was a great companion.

Where Our Story Begins

Just to for worn everyone, this post may be a bit cheesy, but it is the truth and is how it all happened.
I want to start out with a post from my journal.
March 15, 2000
There has been a lot that has happened since I last wrote. Jake has been home for a little over one month from his mission. Now in High school, I thought he was awesome, I thought of him as one of my best friends. When he got home I started dating him. We went bowling, talked on the phone a lot and did lots of stuff together. I starting thinking that I liked him, I just loved being with him, and he had become a spiritual giant.
So one night I was talking to him on the phone, we were talking about nothing important, he told me, "I have a purpose as to why I called you! Before the mission I thought you were nice, a good friend, well now, basically what I am saying is that I like you." I was flattered, I couldn't believe it. A few weeks later he told me that he has prayed about marrying me, and he feels so good about it. He has no doubts. I also have no doubts. I think I will me marrying him. His goal is to be married by November, that is in 8 months!! It is scary but exciting. .......

I know for sure I am going to marry Jake. We have decided that the end of July would be perfect. That is 4 months away......
Jake and I were married on July 29, 2000 that was the greatest day of my life.
