Crazy Marshall

Marshall was asking me to video him on my phone, he told me what to say to him. He is so crazy, never a dull moment in our lives. I didn't put all of them on here, but some were his favorite caller, why he loves me, jake, transformers, primary. He just loves to talk and talk and talk. I seriously hardly ever have a moment to myself. I love Marshall and wouldn't change my life for anything!! Enjoy the videos.

Bear Lake

We just got back from our trip to Bear Lake, we went up on Wed and came back Sunday, it was not long enough!! We had a great time. Each afternoon we would go to the beach to play in the water. On Friday we rented wave runners, I had forgotten how much I loved them! It was hard for me, I wanted to be crazy and jump the waves but I had to keep reminding myself that I was pregnant. I took Marshall out on the wave runners several times and he loved it. He kept telling me to go faster, if I would slow down he would give me the thumbs up to go faster. It was nice to sit around the campfire at night and just relax. All of Jake's family went up with us, it was so much fun! I can't wait to go up next year. Marshall loved the water and would walk out to the deep part and say, "It's okay mom, I am not scared." He did wear a life-jacket, and still had to be with someone. I have decided his next activity is going to be swimming lessons. He is just like Daddy and loves the water!

Jake wanted to back the truck up to load all the toys. I said, "Please don't you are going to get stuck!" But because he is a man, he did it anyways and here is the outcome. . . . tire far down in dirt, digging deeper into the dirt, Ryan and BJ giving us a little push out. Jake was still glad he tried and thought it was fun!

He was so tired at the beach he fell asleep on my lap, and he must have been picking his nose, cause this is while he was asleep. He left his finger up his nose!! NASTY!

Baby Update

I just wanted to update everyone on how we are doing. I am now 15 weeks pregnant, which has been a fun time for me. My belly is now poking out, and I am noticeably pregnant. The baby is just over 4 inches long and is about the size of an apple. I have started to feel baby move, which is fun, I didn't feel Marshall until about 18 weeks. I have my ultrasound set up for August 8th so about 2 more weeks and we will know what we are having. I have a feeling that it is a boy, either way it will be fun. Marshall is very excited about having a brother or sister, it changes daily with what he wants. He loves to put his mouth right up to my belly button and talk to the baby. He is so cute, some of the things he tells the baby are: "Hi baby, its me Marshall, I can't wait for you to come out so we can play. Don't worry about Maverick he is really nice, he only licks you, but that means he is kissing you. He doesn't bite so don't be scared. I really wish you could go to Bear Lake with us, its going to be really fun! I love you baby, I can't wait to meet you!", and then he will kiss my tummy. Today he told me that him and Daddy were going to have so much fun at Bear Lake. Then he said, sorry you can't go mom, you need to get to the hospital and take that baby out of your tummy. I tried to explain that we will get the baby out right after his birthday, but it goes in one ear, and right out the other!! I am very excited for this baby, it is fun that Marshall is so excited. He came to my last appointment with me, and the nurse gave him the option to be the Dr. He was a little too timid. But he thought it was really cool to hear the heart beat, he said that's cool, the baby is whistling. We are thankful that thus far we have had a great pregnancy. I have felt good, and the baby is measuring good and has a great heart beat.
I will give you an update on Friday the 8th of August with gender news!!
So some of my friends that never see me, didn't believe me when I told them that I was showing a lot. So here are some pics that Marshall took of me, I am standing normal, I am not poking out my tummy. Its getting big!!

Our 8th Anniversary

We are celebrating our 8th anniversary this month. I am so thankful for Jake and for the wonderful husband and dad that he is. We have had the greatest 8 years together, I have always enjoyed his company and all the adventures that we have been on. The other day we were talking about how things change so often, here is just an idea. In the last 8 years Jake has had over 9 different jobs, however he must be given credit, he has been with Midvale police for the last 5.5 years. We have owned over 12 different vehicles. We have had 5 different dogs. We have moved a total of 8 times, we are hoping this is our final destination. We have owned a boat, 3 4-wheelers, a motorcycle and we are on our 3rd camping trailer. We have been a many vacations. We have been on 3 cruises, to Disneyland 4 times, to Vegas many times, to NYC, to Tampa Bay, camping often, and many road trips to the South and up to Park City. We are goers, we don't like to sit still, if there is adventure waiting, we will find it. I love my life, I love my family. I couldn't ask for anything better or anything different. The Zoo

We took Marshall to the Zoo today. It was fun, but very hot. Marshall had so much fun. We walked the whole zoo, and at the end we got some ice cream. Here are some of the pictures.
The leopard was out and about, it really wanted to get out, we are glad it didn't.

Happy 4th of July

We had such a wonderful day full of family. We were so excited to Celebrate our Indepence and our Freedom. We are thankful to live in a world where we can excercise our free will. We can worship as we want and live free. We Started our celebration on Thursday July 3rd. We went with my family to the Riverton Parade, it was so hot, but so much fun. Marshall enjoyed every minute of it. We then went to Ary's home and did fireworks. On Friday we had a BBQ at our home with friends and family. We had set up a few swimming pools, slip and slide and some awnings. Jake even made us a mister to escape some of the heat. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves . . . . . . I know that I did. RELAXATION!

Families are Forever

I was looking at a friends blog today and she had posted about something she saw on her friends blog. It touched me so much, I really felt like I wanted to share.
This is about a mom who just recently lost a little angel of their own (http://www.babymckallister.blogspot.com/). They have a sweet little video on their site that completely brought me to tears. I sat watching just crying, feeling the spirit so strong, and realizing how fragile life is. What great examples these parents are, I truly don't know if I would be that strong given the situation.

I like background, so I was looking at there blog and it states, "This morning they went in for another stress test on baby Mac. Sadly, the doctor's were unable to find a heartbeat. Cali said that she could feel him kicking and moving last night and that he even had the hiccups, so his passing must have occurred sometime during the night. They are absolutely heartbroken, as we all are, but they are in good spirits and are doing as well as can be expected."

I know I don't have a lot of money, but this really touched me, not even knowing who they are, but knowing the pain they must be feeling.

I am so thankful for my family, I am thankful for the gospel and the knowledge that families are forever. I look back at Marshall's birth and think what a blessing it is that I still have him. Heavenly Father must have known that he was needed on this earth and he must have a pretty neat mission to fulfill. Children are such a wonderful blessing, I can't even imagine what these parents go through. I have such a strong testimony of the gospel and again I am so greatful that families are forever and that we will see and be with our loved ones again.
