Halloween Birthday Party

On Friday night we went over to Grandma and Papa Cutrights house for a trunk or treat. It was a lot of fun. Marshall loved it and got lots of candy. Last night Paige celebrated her 8th birthday and it was a Halloween dress up.

Yep, not very happy!!!

And I went as an overy tired Nurse .. Jake did my hair, I had black under my eyes, I had a piece of bloody bandage on my shoe and my good ole scrubs from my CNA days .. and I had some medical equipment to care for Jake!!

Jake was an accident victim. His poor black and blue eyes, bloody bandage around the head .... safety pined his nipple back on, and his poor stomach ....

So this is so hilarious to me. Jake went with BJ to pick up the pizza. He walked in first, and everyone turned and looked all gross at him and kinda scooted away, then the rest came in dressed as Hulk, Pirate and white trash .... then they realized what was going on ... they really thought he was hurt LOL. Jake said he was going to run in and yell SOMEONE CALL 411!! But he didn't.

Our Summer Projects

I must say that we accomplished a lot this summer. We had 4 things we really wanted to do, but figured we would not have the time nor money to get them all done. We started with the easiest and ended with the hardest and got them all mostly completed. Jake is such a hard worker, he did the most, I just watched the kids while he worked, but did help some. First is the deck coming off our back door. It was just an 8 X8 square, we wanted to make it longer so the BBQ could fit up, and the stairs to be longer so you could sit on them and watch the kids play. I couldn't find a picture of before to compare, so I made one LOL.

Second, we have wanted forever, including our old house to have an awning over our patio. Jake went to work. Last Year he poured the footing and this year in ONE day the awning went up. We just started staining it, and still need to finish that part.

Third ... The side of our home had wood chips, I HATE wood chips. So we moved all the wood chips to the flower bed, we had to dig up the dirt, to remove the black tarp underneath. Take apart the falling over swingset, level the dirt, remove the one million rocks and we laid sod!! It looks so nice. Next year Jake will run a sprinkler line to that area and we will put the swing set back up.

The 4th and final project would be a shed. This home of ours doesn't have a whole lot of storage space. We have storage under the stairs, and in the garage and we have been using one of the closets in the bedroom downstairs. So Jake, BJ and Ryan poured some cement behind our RV parking. Jake constructed the Shed with 2 X 4s and plywood and this weekend we have started to put up the siding. It looks so nice. The cement was not 100% straight, so the shed does have a slant to it, but it works!! It has freed up a lot of space.

I can't believe we got all of this done. We have a few more projects we would like to do, but many more years to complete them. This winter we are going to turn under the stairs into a play space, like at our old home. One day we would like to put a door going outside to a small deck with hot tub in our room!! And one year we would love to level the backyard, that will be a huge Project, so that will be down the road in a few years! We love our home, and we love the changes we have been able to make. Its been a fun summer. Jake loves making improvements and building things and he does such a wonderful job at it.

10 months

I really can't believe that Kam is already 10 months old! Wow time goes way to fast. I think this is the most fun age ever! She has so much personality to her.

Here are a few things that she is liking at 10 months:

Loves to stand up!

Can hold on and walk around the furniture.

If there is a dishtowel on the oven, Kambria will pull it off, not even worth hanging one anymore!!

Loves table food. Favorites are grilled cheese, any kind of beans, chicken and still likes her baby food and formula.

Loves Loves Loves her blanket. If she can see it, she wants it.

Is very naughty about going to bed, she wants to be with everyone else. She will stand up and throw her binky and just yell ma,ma,ma,ma,ma until I go in again. Once asleep she does really well. She is sleeping 830pm to about 730am. Once in a while wakes up cause she can't find her binky or needs changed, but sleeping through the night mostly.

Loves to laugh, marshall can make her laugh over nothing.

She has stood up on her own without falling several times now. She is starting to get her balance down really good. She understands that she is trying to stand on her own and wants to soo bad.

There are so many things that I love about Kambria. At night time when I lay her down she lays down and then puts her legs in the air and throws them back down, it makes her bounce, she then laughs EVERY SINGLE time. I love that she loves Jake. She will hear his voice and say"Da Da" and look all over. Usually its on the phone LOL. If the door knocks, she is crawling so fast to see who it is. She is very social, but very shy!! We love having Kambria in our family, and can't believe in 2 months she will be 1!! I am very excited to get rid of formula :0)

Loves the bath. Tries to climb out of this seat to get her toys. Loves to splash in the water. HATES to have her hair washed. She is a maniac when i wash her hair.

Engh Gardens

Jake is on call this week, so he has been working nights! Boring for us ... so yesterday the kids and I went with my Mom, Grandma and Ary's kids to Engh's Gardens. They have a cute LITTLE maze set up, and decorations for Halloween. Marshall cried about 75% of the time. The pirates and skulls scared him. And at one point he thought he lost me. But it was still fun!!! I forgot my camera so these are all taken with my cell phone!

We started off at Grandma's house and made some fun Halloween treats! These little guys are basically fudge and in them are little marshmellows and cut up recess peanut butter cups. Then the eyes are a type of frosting. They are very rich, but really good. We then had a yummy dinner of Chicken Fried Steak and Mashed potatoes and then off to the maze we went.

Kambria enjoyed herself, not scared at all .... but she was in mom's arms the whole time!

Pumpkin Painting

Marshall has been wanting to paint a pumpking for a while now. Today I took him and Cilla to the store to pick one out! Then they started painting. Aunt Jen painted a pumpkin and on it she wrote something to the effect of "eat the children" so Marshall told Grandma when he painted his he was going to write "eat Jen" and he sure didn't forget. Here are a few pictures.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN ... It sure is getting closer.

My little Shadow

Kambria is all over the place! She crawls everywhere, to the dog food bowl would be her favorite!! And my least favorite, nothing more gross then finger swiping soggy dog food out of your babies mouth :0) But she has figured out where the toy room is, you put her down and she goes straight there and plays with the toys, it is pretty stinkin cute! She also knows that in Marshalls closet there is a bucket of toys and you will often find her there. And she is my little shadow, she will crawl right behind me to wherever I go! She sure is at a fun age, I just LOVE IT!!

Today I took Kambria to the Dr. On Monday she had a pimple looking thing on her butt area. The same as the last 2 times she has had the cellulitis. Yesterday it got bigger and harder, and today she had a rash all over her but, and they were all turning into pimple looking things. So into the Dr we went. Yes she does have an abscess that is turning into Cellulitis again. And he confirmed with me that the sample we got back, the bacteria is MRSA, he was pretty concerned that a 9 month would have problems with that already, and said we can not mess around with it, it is too scary. So she is back on a antibiotic. But she is happy go lucky still, because we caught it early!!!

Marshall is doing great and loving preschool. His teacher told me on Monday that he is so good at writing his name, he is ahead of everyone else on that task. She did state he is so funny, every time she says to write his name, he panics at first and asks her, "Write my name?" and she says yes and then he does so good! I am proud of him. He loves to learn, and takes everything in, and remembers it all. He is a little too smart for his own good. He always keeps Jake and I laughing with the things he comes up with.

Slime Experiment

We decided it would be fun to make some homemade slime. It was a lot of fun!!

Here is Marshall with all the ingredients needed.
