Our Crazy Children

I never understood why anyone would want to work (unless they needed to for money), rather then be a stay at home mom. Well this past few weeks I have figured it out. Her name is KAMBRIA!!! I honestly am not sure what I did in my life to deserve her :)

She is now in a stage where if she is wet/poopy she takes her own diaper off and brings you a clean diaper. Its all good with the wet, however the poopy is rather nasty and calls for the carpets being shampooed.

She has transitioned into a big girl bed, and does okay. The other morning we had a crime scene when we woke up, so Detective Cutright took some pictures ... First Kambria destroyed her room (she did a great job) and then she felt like sleeping with her head on the heat vent (I suppose it would be warm). Can you find her in there, we laughed pretty hard.

A week later, she was not cooperating when bed time rolled around, so we put a gate up on her door so that she couldn't get out. She screamed for hours, being the good parents we are, we checked on her several times. After two hours of screaming we decided she just needed to cry it out. maybe 15 minutes later it was pretty quiet, so Jake went to check on her. She had undressed her self to her bare naked body (diaper and all), peed on the carpet in 3 different spots, pooped on her floor, there was poop on her pillow pet, sheet, and more. So Jake gave her a quick shower, while I cleaned up her mess and shampooed the carpet. Not a fun night at all!!!!!

We have also decided that we need to remove all sweets from our house, it isn't doing well with the children!!!!! For some reason it is all going to their faces!!!

Marshall was so upset with his face that he went and got plastic surgery, I wouldn't recommend his surgeon.

Other then crazy children, we are doing Fantastic. Our business is doing good, each week it is getting better!!! If you haven't heard, Midvale is merging with UPD, so as of July 1st Jake will be with Unified Police and we have no idea what that means for him. First we heard he would stay in detectives and now we hear it is like the NFL draft and all spots are open to everyone, you have to apply and interview and go from there, so he could be back on patrol, we shall see in a few months!!!

Family

Jake's Grandpa Cutright passed away this last week. It is amazing the different feelings we all have when it comes to death. Grandpa Cutright was 92 and he lived an amazing life. He was an amazing man, full of faith and dedicated to family and the gospel. I am thankful that my children have had the opportunity to meet all of their great grandparents (Other then Kambria, she never met Grandpa Gotberg :(). This week as we have talked about Great Grandpa Cutright and his legacy Marshall has asked so many questions, and has been very intrigued about all of it. He also has said many times, " I hope when I have kids I have a boy, because I don't want the Cutright name to end. Papa told me I need a boy to carry on the name!" I thought that was so cute, that he remembered that and really wants that to happen.

Today at the funeral Marshall was so cute. He went through the line to look at Great Grandpa Cutright 4 or 5 times. He would stand there and look and ponder and he even wanted to touch his hands. He was so serious and so excited to go look at him. When I asked him why he wanted to see him so much, he replied, "because I didn't get to see him all the time, and I want to see him as much as I can!" We then talked about eternal families and how special it will be when we do see him again. During the funeral, I was crying (because I am a bawl baby), and I looked over and Marshall had a Kleenex and was rubbing his eyes. I just put my arm around him and gave him a big squeeze. I love that Marshall is a sensitive little guy. He truly cares about everyone and has real emotions. At the grave side service he watched so respectfully as they brought out the casket and dedicated the grave. He then wanted to go look closely and get a flower to keep.

I am sure thankful for families. I am thankful for the gospel and the knowledge that we will live together forever! I am thankful for my testimony and the comfort that it brings at times of death. We are thankful for the great example Grandpa Cutright was to our family, and for his dedication to the Lord. He left an amazing legacy for us to follow.

Our New Venture

Hey Everyone!!!

We are super excited, and if you haven't already heard, Jake and I have purchased a franchise and we have started our very own business!!! (I suddenly feel mature :) )

We will be doing business as Zagg, invisibleSHIELD and we are going to be located at

The District inside the Megaplex 20 Theatre.

I have had it on my phone for the last 3+ years and LOVE it, hence the reason we started our own franchise. Also, we have other Zagg accessories.

Anyway, the reason for this post isn't to tell you how amazing the product and corporation is, the reason is this:

Jake and I are going to start our interviewing and hiring process in the next week or so. So if you know of anyone that has graduated High School, is reliable, honest, hard working and is looking for a part time job with an amazing Owner/Manager, you should send them our way!! They will be in retail sales. They will be installing the invisibleSHIELD on devices and selling other products from the cart. Super fun job and again an amazing pair of owners/managers (I may be bias)!!!

If Marshall had $100.00

Marshall brought this assignment home the other day and it was so cute to me. They are learning to sound things out on their own and he had to write by himself what he would buy if he had $100.00

He would by a SCATLE BOOD

without looking at the picture I was clueless. He has never said he wants a SKATE BOARD.

So cute how they sound things out in there heads ;)
But since that day, he is obsessed with Tony Hawk and wants the game soooooo bad. Too bad his birthday isn't until December :(

Sick Silly Kambria

Poor Kambria has a horrible cold. She is such a cute little girl, but I tell you she looks like crap. Her face is coverd in snot .. and I do keep wipeing it. Her hair is a mess. Her face is pale, her eyes are red, she has a rash on her arm tonight and she can't stop coughing!!!

Earlier today she came in my room and had a large red mark on her arm. Marshall followed behind holding toy pliers.

So I said, Marshall did you pinch Kam with those?

He replied NO.

I explained he needs to be honest and he was he didn't do anything to her.

So I asked Kam, Did Marsh pinch you with those pliers to which she replied yes.

Marshall states she says yes to everything, I did not do it.

So I said, Kambria did the kitty cat bite your arm?

She replied yes and we laughed really hard.

Then being serious I said, Kam tell mommy what happened to your arm.

o serious she looked at me with her big eyes and a soft voice and said, A Kitty cat bited my arm Mama.

It was so stinkin cute, but we all know that a kitty cat did not bite her arm. All day when I find a new rash and ask what happened it is the same cat answer. WHAT have I done!!!!!

Love Day

For Valentine's Day Jake and I usually go out and ditch the kids. Well this year was different. Jake doesn't sleep well and never has, so he has started getting some things tested to figure it out. They set him up for a Sleep Study for the evening of the 14th. He had to be there at 8pm, so we decided to just have fun at home. So I made chocolate covered strawberries, set up the china, which I don't think we have used in 10 years and made a meal. I made Jake's most favorite meal, Mexican Beef Casserole, made some red Jello and set up the candles. The kids weren't really sure why we wanted to eat by just the light of candles. I tried to explain that it makes things more special, but eventually we blew them out and turned on the lights because they just wanted to annoy me with touching the candles.

It really was a fun dinner. We asked the kids if they know why we celebrate Valentines. And then explained it is a day that you show others that you Love them. We went around the table and told each other why we loved each other.

Then we just chilled and talked and tickled and then Dad left for the hospital the kids were in bed by 7:45, yep 7:45 and I watched the Bachelor.

Valentines is a silly holiday to me, because I think we should let our loved ones know they are loved all the time. It's just another holiday to get people to buy roses and chocolate.

But I am thankful to have Jake as my eternal companion. He is the best husband that I could ever ask for. He treats me with so much respect. He loves me and he doesn't just tell me that he loves me, he shows it to me everyday. He works so hard for our family so that we can have a house, food, and have fun together. He is an amazing Dad. The kids are so excited to see him everyday. He is so fun with them and makes them feel like a million dollars. He is the best priesthood holder and is so strong in the gospel. I am thankful to have a priesthood holder in our home. He loves and honors his parents. He respects them very much. They raised a fine man!!! Love you Jake, you are the best, I am glad that you will always be mine.

I also love my children. There are days when I would love to give them away, but I would only want to do that for a short time. They bring so much happiness to my life. They are so full of love and mischief. They do and say the funniest things. If I cry they are concerned and want to know what is wrong. Most of the time it is just because I have read a news article and feel for a family or somoeones blog. I try and show them I love them, I hope I do it often enough. I am trying to raise them to be the best that they can be and to be respectful. I never realized how much school friends could change them from angels to hellians. Its a work in progress.

I also love my parents. They do so much for me. My mom is a huge example to me. She is such a service oriented person, I wish I was more like her in that part. She is always thinking about others, more so then herself. Her neighbors and our family are so lucky to have her in our lives. My mom is amazing and so talented. My Dad is also a great man. He is also talented and is great with advice when things go astray at the home. My kids just love to see Grandma and Papa, they are such wonderful grandparents.

And I love my sister, sister-in-laws, brother, brother-in-laws and Jakes parents. They are all so important to me in my life. They pull me up when I am down. They are fun to be around and they are great examples. I have so many wonderful people in my life, I am truly lucky. A lot of people don't like there in-laws, I was lucky, because I Love my in laws.

Helper

So not sure how to write about this without just saying it how it is!!!!

Kambria loves helping. I have always asked the kids if they want to be my helper when I make breakfast, lunch and dinner or when I make goodies. I even ask for helpers when I clean the house, do the laundry and such. Kambria LOVES to be a helper. If I start to cook without her she runs over so fast and yells so loud .. HELPER, I'M YOUR HELPER!!!! And then she helps. If she hears the dishwasher being loaded, she is by my side, because she is the helper that puts the little soap in the soap spot. She has to help pull the clothes out of the dryer, hang them up, put them in the hamper. She is a very good helper to say the least.

So tonight I go into the bathroom and shut the door. Kambria so kindly slides a candy of hers under the door and then wants it. I tell her that when I am done I will give her the candy, she is freaking out like crazy, it gets quiet for a moment and then I hear her say, "You want to be my helper?" and then something is hitting against the door. I open the door and she has her baby and has her babies hand on the door trying to help her open the door, because she couldn't do it herself. It was so cute that I had to take a picture!!
