Again??? Go Away!!!!

So a few days ago Kambria had a pimple looking thing on her bum, I kept close watch of it, hoping it would just go away. For the last 4 days it has done nothing but stay. This morning, it was fine, this afternoon I changed her bum and it was the size of a quarter, hard and red. I thought ... ARE YOU SERIOUS, this is just like when she got the Cellulitis in Bear Lake. So I immediately called and got her a Dr. appointment. I am sure glad I did, because sweet little Kambria has Cellulits on her other cheek!! The Dr. numbed her butt and then made an incision and drained it, He took a sample of the drainage to send off to the lab to find out what bacteria it is, to figure out why she has gotten this AGAIN!!! Luckily I caught it early. She is now on an oral antibiotic and it hopefully will be gone within a week or so. She is tough, you would never have known anything was wrong with her this time, unless you noticed the bump on her bottom. good thing for Dr's. we hope it goes away and stays away this time. It can be very scary, luckily we have caught it early!!!
Just in case you don't know, here is the definition of what Cellulitis is:

What is cellulitis?
Cellulitis is a skin infection caused by bacteria. Normally, your skin helps protect you from infection. But if you have a cut, sore, or insect bite, bacteria can get into the skin and spread to deeper tissues. If it is not treated with antibiotics, the infection can spread to the blood or lymph nodes. This can be deadly.

How is it treated?
Doctors use antibiotics to treat cellulitis. If the infection is mild, you may be able to take antibiotic pills at home. If the infection is severe, you may need to be treated in the hospital with antibiotics that go right into your bloodstream.

Meet the newest member of the Hall Family

Yes, the newest member to the family is a pair a 3 seater waverunners!! My Mom and Dad bought these this weekend and I am sooooooo excited. We had waverunners growing up and they were a blast, its been a long time. We rented some this year in Bear Lake and then my Mom was convinced, we needed some to join the family. The summer is almost over, but you better believe they will be brought out at least a few times. See Mom I told you I was SUPER excited. I wish this meant more sun a tanner Brandy, but in all reality, it means more sun, more freckles for Brandy. Oh well .... bring what you may, it won't stop me.

Bouncin Off The Walls

Harlee had her Birthday Party at Bouncin' Off The walls. It was a lot of fun. Marshall kept going and going and going, I thought for sure he would be asleep by the time we got home, but he was too pumped, he didn’t go to sleep till after 11:00pm. First thing this morning he came and whispered in my ear, Mom can I have my birthday party at Bouncin' off the Walls??
Marshall loved the slide, he went on it so many times, and the more he went the crazier he became. It was a lot of fun. The kids were given party bags at the end, and Marsh had to eat his ring pop. His mouth will be blue for days to come I am sure. I don’t know if Kambria even cared about the slide. She never cried, but never smiled. It was fun to take her down though.

It was a long day. That morning me and the kids went to Wheeler Farm and walked the 5k Walk to Cure Diabetes. I really hope they do find a cure soon, it sucks for Kayla and Kurt to have to deal with Diabetes on a daily basis. It was fun. Marshall got his face painted, we got free food, they had bounce houses and we walked the 5k and saw the animals on the route. I am smart, and forgot my camera, my mom took lots of pictures, so I will post them when I get them.

Kambria update:

She is a movin and a shakin. She is now at the point where she is really good going from sitting to the crawl stance, she moves back and forth and she has down a few crawls. But she has the combo of crawl and army scoot down to a T and is all over the house. Her favorite thing to do for some odd reason, is scoot over to the rug and lift it up, put it down, over and over. She is so much fun.

Silly Boy

So Marshall is on a roll tonight, I wish I could remember everything!
He was in the bath and his feet were so dirty, so we washed them good, I said let me see your feet, he looks at them and says, "Clean as sunshine Mom!!"

He has a cough right now, its a pretty nasty one, he was coughing in bed and walks in so seriously and says, "Mom when I cough it sounds like a horn honking, What is going to happen the next time I cough?" I replied it will probably say honk honk. He looks me in the eye and so sadly says no seriously is that noise good or bad news?

Marshall was at Addies house today and I was told of this conversation. It may be off a big, correct me if I am wrong lisa.
Addie: Marshall I am going to Marry you in the temple, my mom and dad were married in the temple.
Marshall: I was thinking the same thing !!!

Anyway thats all for now, I am tired and going to bed!!!

8 Months Already

I can’t believe it has been 8 months already, time goes WAY TOO FAST!! Kambria is such a good girl. She does have her moments at night where she drives me insane, and she is always screaming, but we still love her. She has accomplished so much in the first 8 months of her life.
Here are just a few:
She can go from laying down to sitting up
She is a pig and will eat anything she is handed -- she now enjoys cheese, bread, french fries ....
She is still in a size 3 diaper
We just had to lower her crib because she is starting to pull herself up.
She gets to the crawl position and rocks back and forth … any day!!
She loves Marshall and Maverick.
She laughs so hard!
She loves to be in the sight of mommy
Kambria loves her blankets, she has to hold it to fall asleep, she prefers it over her face as well.

We sure love Kambria in our family, our family would not be the same without her!!

Last Day in Sunny California

We had such a wonderful trip to California. I was sad when it ended. We made so many fun memories. I just love going on vacation with my family. California was really sunny ... but each morning we enjoyed the foggy smog until about mid afternoon. It made for nice walking because it was still cool out. We did so much in our 4 days, as seen in earlier posts, we went to the aquarium, Disneyland, California Adventure, The beach to Boogie Board, walked the Pike Pier several times, ate lots of yummy food and stayed in a nice hotel right across from the Pier. The kids were so good, the flight was great going and coming home it was okay. Kambria had her screaming/crying fit for the first 30 mins and then she was out the rest of the flight. It was an adventure flying home by myself with the 2 kids, but it was sooo much fun! Its amazing to me the difference of where we live and where we stayed. I am so thankful for my home and my community. I love that I can go to the park and feel safe, go to the grocery store and not worry about being robbed, or shot at. I love that we live in a quiet, pretty city. I truly am thankful for where I live. I think I am very naive, because I just don't really realize how scary some places are until I see it for myself. If we would travel South of our hotel we were good, if we went even a block North it was Gangster Paradise, and it was an awful feeling, I couldn't imagine living life that way. Anyway, that is all from our vacation.

Sweet Kambria would fall asleep every time we went walking, I guess I chose her naptime each day, she was such a good girl. Her only downfall was when she was sick and throwing up, but nothing she could do about that :0)

California Day 3 - The Beach

Today was sooo much fun!! Jake had conference today, so the kids and I hung out in the hotel room for a bit and just chilled and then we headed over to Pikes Pier. The walk over was fun and intersting. the first cross walk we dropped Kambrias blanket and had to run back grab it and then run for it across the street. The next cross walk Marshall dropped his Webkinz cat and had to run grab it and run back over. It was a long walk, but lots of fun. Jake met us over there for lunch. The kids and I just walked around and looked at the ocean, and the stores. We started out with some Ice cream from Cold Stone, Marshall sure loves ice cream!!! When Jake got home we headed over to the Beach. It was a blast. We rented a Boogie Board, it was so much fun. Jake took Marshall and he LOVED it. Kambria was not a fan of the sand, but if she was on a towel she was okay. What a fun fun day!!!
