Christmas Party

Friday Night we had our annual Gotberg Family Christmas Party! It was a lot of fun. The boys played basketball as normal, Jake won in Tornado almost every single time :), we had soup and sandwiches for dinner and a lot of yummy treats! We then played musical chairs, who ever was left without a seat had to go pick an article of clothing from a bag (no looking) you wore what you got. Jake had a fabulous red lingerie top he wore, I had a flannel jacket ... only because I am the best mom ever. Marshall was without a seat, and he almost was going to cry so I stood up and gave him my seat .. I know, I know, #1 Mom of the year! And you can't forget about Santa. Santa came to visit. This was the first year that Marshall willingly got up on Santa's lap and asked for something he already has 900 of, and did not ask for. Oh well, kids are funny! Kambria sat and did not want anything to do with Santa, it was pretty cute!! It was a fun time, and I look forward to next year!

I wanted to mention as well how thankful I am for all of the men and women in Law Enforcement around the country. They sure are brave and sure do a lot for us that we don't even know about. I am thankful that they serve and protect us, and that they put their lives on the line for us. I have never worried about Jake before, but as the world becomes more and more corrupt it sure does make his job more and more scary!!! I feel so bad for the 4 families in Washington that lost their loved ones due to someone that should have been in prison for his whole life!! I am thankful that the 5th cop that he snuck up on, was paying attention to his surroundings and was able to Kill the suspect!! Pray for the families, what a horrible situation. Again, I am thankful for Jake, for serving and protecting us here in Utah, I am thankful that he has the spirit with him always to lead and guide him, for that he has been watched over and has saved others lives.

Savior Of The World

I love Christmas time, it is my most favorite time of the year!! I love the atmosphere, I love the music, the lights, and the Spirit of giving! I love that we get to Celebrate the Birth of Christ.
To start off the season, Jake and I, went shopping on Black Friday and got everything on our list and then that night we went to dinner and then went to the Conference Center to see the Production .. Savior of the World. It was amazing!! I knew I would like it, but I hoped that Jake would, he isn't way into theater and plays. It was such a neat experience and the Spirit was so strong! ....IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEE THE PRODUCTION AND DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW IT GOES ... YOU SHOULD STOP READING THIS POST ....It starts out before Christ is born and then goes into the Birth of our Savior. The second half is the Resurrection, they never showed Christ ... I assumed that they didn't allow it in the play (The production is approved by the First Presidency) and I understood completely. Then there was a scene were Jesus did come out in all white and they were bowing down to him, Jesus was standing with his back to us, you never did see his face, the music in the background was I know that my Redeemer lives ... I felt the Spirit so strong and started to cry ... It was so amazing. If you don't get the chance this year to see the Production, next year you should!!! It really made me think, and realize how amazing it will be when we see our Savior Jesus Christ. How I hope I am worthy, how I can't wait to touch his hands, to see him! How powerful his presence will be. It was a fun night, We both loved it!
In a few weeks we are going to The Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert, I am excited, that should be wonderful as well. Today we put up our Tree, hung our stockings, and put up our decorations outside .. It is Christmas time at the Cutright home!!

A few 11 month pics

Kambria is really enjoying food right now!! Last night we had spaghetti and corn and I think she ate more of it then marshall!  Today for lunch we had Mac&Chz and peas, and she ate way more then Marshall.  She loves her food, and I hope it continues.

Last night as I was setting the bread up in Tee-P's to dry out to make my Grandma's most yummy homemade dressing for Thanksgiving (she is coming over Wed to help me), so it is bound to be delicious, Kambria was enjoying herself below my feet slamming cupboards, making my Tee-P's fall over again and again and again!

It's true, she loves to pull everything out and be as noisy and she can.  And that is fine with me, however the pantry door, its about to become baby proof, because the chips are sick of being crumbs!!!!

And last but not least ... Kambria loves Food right, well I am a good mom, who wants my kids to be happy and HEALTHY so why not eat a cookie at 11 months old.  She loved it :0)

11 months

Once again I am saying that I can't believe that Kambria is already 11 months old.  She is getting so BIG.  I love my 2 children and sometimes wonder why I think eventually I want 3.  2 is perfect, I love my 2 kids.  In 1 month my baby will be 1 years old, so crazy to me.  Here are some things that Kambria can do:

She will hold your hand and walk next to you. Pretty slow, but she doesn't fall!

She can stand on her own for as long as she wants and then sits back down, sometimes plops.


She is now waving hello and bye finally

She knows what No means. She will go for the stairs gate and I say Kambria ... she will look and shake No with her head and then dart for it.

She finally got her first tooth. On the bottom right!

She is such a joy!

She says mama, dada, and yeah!  She tries to say what we say, but it is just mumbles, she is not quiet at all.

She loves food!  Today she tried homemade corn chowder and LOVED it.  She finished marshalls corndog and ketchup last night, seemed to like it also. 
 
She still loves her blankets, if she see's them, she wants them.  She cuddles with them. 
 

She has now had Cellulitis on her butt 5 times ... 5 times, that is not okay!!!!

 
Other then the Cellulitis Kambria has been a healthy girl.
 
She got the H1N1 shot a few weeks ago and cried for only 3 seconds, it was great!
 
She is a mommy's girl.  IF she see's me, she wants me. Its nice sometimes, other times its annoying.
 

She is OBSESSED with cell phones and remote controls.  Once she has it, if you take it away, she will have a tantrum of all tantrums!!  I will take credit for the cell phone, I love my cell phone, I will blame Jake for the remote, he loves his sports!!

 

She gets into everything.  All the cupboards, the pantry, the video game drawer, the dog food, the latest and not so greatest, the toilet.  She sticks her hands in and plays in the water (YUCK!!!).  She is indeed my crazy crazy Kambria.  We just love Kambria so much, I really don't know what life without her would be like.  She loves Marshall .. not sure if it is because he leaves his food lying around within reach and doesn't notice her grab and devour it ... or if it is because he is such a good/fun big brother ... or maybe both!  She is a great girl and we love her.

kambria the Trouble Maker

This happened a few weeks ago, but for some reason, I found it funny and wanted to write it down.  Kambria is a troublemaker.  Always getting into something, crawling under our bed and getting stuck, getting into the garbage all the time, eating dog food, you name it she does it.  So the other day she was beig so annoying, so Jake put her on the bed with him and locked his phone (work phone) and handed it over to her. I am in getting ready when I hear Jake say, "Jacob Cutright, repeats our address, states his phone number and then continues with telling 911 that his daughter was playing with his phone! Yeah its registered to Midvale Police, I am actually a Police Officer."  Ha Ha Ha, Kambria called 911 on Jakes work phone!  She is crazy.  The phone was locked and everything and she managed to hit an emergency number dial!!!  I think we have a crazy child on our hands that is going to keep us on our toes!! Seriously, i don't deserve that, I deserve an angel child!!!

Our Week

Today is Wednesday, Only half way through the week and I am ready for it to be done with!! 
Sunday we had Jake's family over to celebrate Jake's Birthday as well as his Mom's.  It was fun.  We had hawaiian haystacks, corn, yummy cake and drinks.  There was some video game playing and chating going on as well.  Jake got Call of Duty for his birthday, the new one.  Well today our XBOX has decided it doesn't want to work anymore. WHATEVER!!!

Monday was a fine normal day, other then Jake had a makeup class at school so he wasn't home till late.  The kids and I went and visited Grandma and papa hall and had some chineese dinner with them .. it was yummy!!  My mom also sent me home with all her cute brads, ribbon, buttons and stuff, so I have been making bows nonstop ... Thanks Lisa ... I am addicted!

Tuesday I felt like crap!! I woke up just not feeling good.  I went in and got kambria from bed and she had boogers everywhere and was coughing like crazy.  So we both have colds.   We come into the kitchen and kambria goes over to the dogs food and dumps the large bowl of water all over the floor and rug.  I clean that up, and then wonder .... Where has Kambria went.   I look over to the rug and No Kambria, but something was on it.  It was nasty Poo drops, I figure Maverick (the dumb dog that he is) pooped.  So I check the living room and no other sign of poo or Kambria.  I go to her room and there she is with nasty poo up to the back of her neck!!  I grab her and go into our shower and hose her down.  Clean baby!!  The rest of the day is lazy cause Mom doesn't feel good.  That night we are sitting around eating dinner. I look over and Kambria had found marshall's poptart from breakfast and was really enjoying it!!! She was a mess.  I placed her in her chair and allowed her to eat it.  After I gave her a 2nd bath!! 

This morning we still don't feel great, but better then Tuesday.  Come into Kitchen and I should know, Kambria goes right over to the Dog Food and dumps the stinkin water all over again! Luckily in my laziness yesterday the towel was still sitting there so it soaked the majority of it up :0)  Today has been lazy but good.  Kambria was in the Hall, and it looked like she was trying to get something into her mouth.  I walked closer to see what it was and she was trapping a spider and trying to eat it.  I grabbed her and the dumb spider ran away down the hall.  It only got away for a min, cause then I vaccumed it up.  NASTY.  Kambria have you forgotten you are a girl ... no eating spiders!!!  A few minutes ago Marshall asks for a roll, so I get him one to eat while he is playing the Wii.  He takes a bite and sets it down and then says ... Mom where is my roll?  He had set it on the arm of the couch, and Kam is no dummie, she went right for it and was sitting on the floor eating it!!!  She is really nice too, because she is currently sharing that roll with Maverick.  How Nice!! and my floor is a mess!

Kambria is so full of energy!  She is doing so good. In a few days she will be 11 months old.  I Cannot believe it!

We love Kambria and I can't beleive next month she will be ONE!!!  Crazy Crazy Crazy!

I am Thankful!!

I love this time of the year!  I love that we get to be with family so much! I love all of the food (although my body doesn't need it :0) )!  I love the spirit of Giving, and I LOVE that 2 radio stations are already playing Christmas music.  I just wanted to write down a few things that I am thankful for.

1.  I am thankful for Jake.  He is seriously the best husband.  He treats me so good. He loves me, and he shows that to me, he tells that to me, i know that he loves me!!  He cares about me, and puts his needs aside at times that I don't even realize, just to make me feel better. He gives the best advice.   At times in our marriage when I have been on Clomid, and I have had 10 different personalities in 10 minutes, he has still loved me and didn't even get mad at me, he understood.  He was so kind and caring during the birth of both of our children.  He is sensitive, you may not see that in him, but he is and i love it.  He is my best friend.  I love being with Jake, we have so much fun together.  We laugh, and are silly, but we have a great time!  I love that he honors his priesthood.  I love that I can ask for a blessing anytime that i feel i need one, and he will do it, because he is worthy!!  I love that he was willing and worthy to serve a mission and give 2 years of his life to the Lord.  I love his strong testimony and his knowledge of the gospel!  He has good taste ... he dresses nice ... If I look like a nerd, he isn't afraid to tell me!!!  He is good looking, he cares about how he looks.  He loves his family.  He respects his parents alot!  They mean a lot to him.  He loves our family!  I could go on forever.

2.  I am thankful for our kids!  It took a long time in my eyes to get our kids here, but I know it is the way that the Lord wanted it.  I know that a lot of people deal with infertility and at all different levels .. I know that my struggle is nothing compared to others ... But to have disappointment month after month for years, you feel like a failure.  To have to be on medicine that makes you CRAZY, is hard!  Thankfully I am married to Jake who was and is so understanding and allowed my mood swings to not ruin our marriage in anyway at all.  To want to be pregnant so bad and have lots of people around you getting pregnant at that time, causes jealousy and hurt deep down!  But now i have our two kids and maybe another one down the road and I am so very thankful!  I love marshall! i love the silly boy that he is.  I love how smart he is.  I love that he will cuddle with me If I ask him to.  I love to see characteristics of myself and Jake in him.  I love to hear him sing, I love to hear his voice.  I love to see how cute he is when he is asleep.  I love that he loves to learn.  I love seeing him play with his friends.  I love that he enjoys to play with Kambria and that he loves her.  I lOVE his laugh!!!  I didn't think I could love anyone else the way I loved Marshall and then we had Kambria!  I love Kambria the same I love Marshall.  I love her little cheeks and thighs.  I love her voice, growl, eyes, cry, laugh.  I love that she watches us so intently and picks up on funny things that we do.  I love the times she will cuddle up with me.  I love everything about my kids.  They truly are my life, they make me light up.  They make me happy!!!

3.  I am so so so thankful for my MOM.  I love my Mom a lot.  I can't begin to name the many things that mom has done and continues to do for me and my family.  My mom would do anything for me.  She never puts herself first (even though she should sometimes).  And I can't even write this right now without crying, because she cares so much about our needs and would never want to watch us struggle.  My mom helps me with my kids so much! She watches them so we can go on date nights, she watches them so I could go on ride a longs when Jake was on the roads, so I can go to appointments.  She loves her grandkids as much as she loves her kids.  Even when us kids mess up, she still loves us.  I never understood how she could until I had my own kids.  My mom will come over and help me wash my windows, deep clean my house, do my ironing (because I am a slacker), help me make some food that I keep messing up so that I get it right, helps me make the kids birthday cakes every year.  Brings us food out of the blue .... I could go on and on.  Thanks for being such a good mom.  I know I can call my Mom at anytime to ask for advice, help or just to talk. 

4.  I am thankful for the Gospel in my life.  I may not be perfect, but I try.  I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and our loving Heavenly Father.  I am so greatful that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and that I can repent of my sins to live with him again.  I am thankful that when I am struggeling I can pray for guidance and help.  I am thankful for the priesthood. I am so thankful for my membership in the church.  I am so thankful that I am married to Jake for time and all eternity, I couldn't imagine losing him after death!  I am thankful to be sealed to my children.  I happy for the peace and understanding that the gospel brings to me.

5.  I am thankful for our home.  Our home is not huge by any means, but it is exactly what we need.  I love the spirit in our home.  I love that we have a garage and a basement.  I love that each of my kids have a bed.  I love that it is OUR home and that I can decorate it and paint it how I want.  Each room is special, and each room has our touch to it, which makes our house our home!!  I love that we live in a circle.  I love each and everyone of my neighbors.  I love my ward, and feel comfortable at my ward.  I love the city we live in.  I love that Marshall has made some good friends in our neighborhood and that they are good people who I feel comfortable sending Marshall to there home.  I love that all of the things we have done to our home mean something because we have done them ourselves.  It means a lot more to us.

6.  I am thankful for Jake's Job.  I am glad that when we were first married that Jake had 100 different jobs in 1 year, and that he knew what he wanted his career to be.  And I am thankful that My Mom and Dad were in a situation they could help Jake go to the academy and get started on his career.  I am thankful that Jake likes his job (for the most part), and that he lives up to the oath that he made to protect and serve!! I am thankful he is honest with his fellowmen!  I am thankful that the spirit guides him to keep him safe. I am thankful that Jake provides for our family, and that his job allows him OT shifts so that I can stay at home with our Kids. I am thankful that I have a husband that people at work can look up to and learn from.  It really is comforting when you see all the drama that goes on in the world and workplace that you know your husband is honest and he will stand up for what he believes regardless of what others think of him.  I love you Jake.

7.  I am thankful for my family.  I love that I have a sister that lives close to me.  I love that our kids are friends and that they love to see and do things with one another.  I am thankful that we can help each other out as needed.  I am thankful that I can call and talk to her when I need someone to talk to during the day.  I am thankful for a brother that is becoming the brother I knew and love.  I am thankful that he has found Erin, she is good for him, I am excited for him to be a dad .. I know he will be such a great DAD.  I am thankful that we get to see him often again and that he can get to know my kids.  Marshall really likes him and I am glad that he likes kids and is cute with them.  And I am thankful for my Dad.  I am glad for the example he set for us growing up.  That he is a hard worker, and a go getter. I am glad that he is a good grandpa.  I am glad that he helps us when we need it.  My dad is a great guy.  I am not so glad that I inherited his stubborness, but i will deal with it :0)  My family is great.

8. Last but not least I am thankful for my In-Laws.  I really am lucky to have married into Jakes family.  There are a lot of people that don't care much for there In-Laws, but I really do like mine!! I am thankful for Jakes Mom and Dad.  They are such good examples to us.  They are so strong in the church, and are such righteous people.  I am thankful for all the help they have been to us.  I am thankful they allowed us to live in there house 3 different times.  I am thankful that they treat me good.  I am thankful they are so good to my kids.  I am thankful that if we need there help, or a blessing, or anything they are over as soon as they can get here.  I am glad we are able to vacation with them, they are so much fun to be around.  I am thankful for Nat and BJ, for helping us get into our house and being patient with us.  I know they have several times wondered why we suck with money or wondered why we do certain things, but for the most part they keep that to themselves and just love us anyway!!! I am glad we live by them, we have fun times.  I am glad that Marshall and the girls are such great friends.  I am thankful for Alison and Allen.  We don't get to see them much, but they are great to be around when we do.  And Alison is always concerned about everyone and wants to make sure things are good.  She is a good Mom, and Allen is a great example.  I just Love Kim and Ryan.  They are so much fun to be around, we have such fun times with you guys.  You remind us of ourselves sometimes.  You are giving, thoughtful and we appreciate that.  I am happy that Kambria and Cadence will grow up to be great friends.  I am thankful for Jen and Jonathan. I admire you guys for being so strong in the gospel and trying to do your best. Jake has a great family that is very close to one another and I love that.
