Poor Kambria has a horrible cold. She is such a cute little girl, but I tell you she looks like crap. Her face is coverd in snot .. and I do keep wipeing it. Her hair is a mess. Her face is pale, her eyes are red, she has a rash on her arm tonight and she can't stop coughing!!!
Earlier today she came in my room and had a large red mark on her arm. Marshall followed behind holding toy pliers.
So I said, Marshall did you pinch Kam with those?
He replied NO.
I explained he needs to be honest and he was he didn't do anything to her.
So I asked Kam, Did Marsh pinch you with those pliers to which she replied yes.
Marshall states she says yes to everything, I did not do it.
So I said, Kambria did the kitty cat bite your arm?
She replied yes and we laughed really hard.
Then being serious I said, Kam tell mommy what happened to your arm.

o serious she looked at me with her big eyes and a soft voice and said, A Kitty cat bited my arm Mama.
It was so stinkin cute, but we all know that a kitty cat did not bite her arm. All day when I find a new rash and ask what happened it is the same cat answer. WHAT have I done!!!!!

Love Day
For Valentine's Day Jake and I usually go out and ditch the kids. Well this year was different. Jake doesn't sleep well and never has, so he has started getting some things tested to figure it out. They set him up for a Sleep Study for the evening of the 14th. He had to be there at 8pm, so we decided to just have fun at home. So I made chocolate covered strawberries, set up the china, which I don't think we have used in 10 years and made a meal. I made Jake's most favorite meal, Mexican Beef Casserole, made some red Jello and set up the candles. The kids weren't really sure why we wanted to eat by just the light of candles. I tried to explain that it makes things more special, but eventually we blew them out and turned on the lights because they just wanted to annoy me with touching the candles.
It really was a fun dinner. We asked the kids if they know why we celebrate Valentines. And then explained it is a day that you show others that you Love them. We went around the table and told each other why we loved each other.
Then we just chilled and talked and tickled and then Dad left for the hospital the kids were in bed by 7:45, yep 7:45 and I watched the Bachelor.
Valentines is a silly holiday to me, because I think we should let our loved ones know they are loved all the time. It's just another holiday to get people to buy roses and chocolate.
But I am thankful to have Jake as my eternal companion. He is the best husband that I could ever ask for. He treats me with so much respect. He loves me and he doesn't just tell me that he loves me, he shows it to me everyday. He works so hard for our family so that we can have a house, food, and have fun together. He is an amazing Dad. The kids are so excited to see him everyday. He is so fun with them and makes them feel like a million dollars. He is the best priesthood holder and is so strong in the gospel. I am thankful to have a priesthood holder in our home. He loves and honors his parents. He respects them very much. They raised a fine man!!! Love you Jake, you are the best, I am glad that you will always be mine.
I also love my children. There are days when I would love to give them away, but I would only want to do that for a short time. They bring so much happiness to my life. They are so full of love and mischief. They do and say the funniest things. If I cry they are concerned and want to know what is wrong. Most of the time it is just because I have read a news article and feel for a family or somoeones blog. I try and show them I love them, I hope I do it often enough. I am trying to raise them to be the best that they can be and to be respectful. I never realized how much school friends could change them from angels to hellians. Its a work in progress.
I also love my parents. They do so much for me. My mom is a huge example to me. She is such a service oriented person, I wish I was more like her in that part. She is always thinking about others, more so then herself. Her neighbors and our family are so lucky to have her in our lives. My mom is amazing and so talented. My Dad is also a great man. He is also talented and is great with advice when things go astray at the home. My kids just love to see Grandma and Papa, they are such wonderful grandparents.
And I love my sister, sister-in-laws, brother, brother-in-laws and Jakes parents. They are all so important to me in my life. They pull me up when I am down. They are fun to be around and they are great examples. I have so many wonderful people in my life, I am truly lucky. A lot of people don't like there in-laws, I was lucky, because I Love my in laws.

Helper
So not sure how to write about this without just saying it how it is!!!!
Kambria loves helping. I have always asked the kids if they want to be my helper when I make breakfast, lunch and dinner or when I make goodies. I even ask for helpers when I clean the house, do the laundry and such. Kambria LOVES to be a helper. If I start to cook without her she runs over so fast and yells so loud .. HELPER, I'M YOUR HELPER!!!! And then she helps. If she hears the dishwasher being loaded, she is by my side, because she is the helper that puts the little soap in the soap spot. She has to help pull the clothes out of the dryer, hang them up, put them in the hamper. She is a very good helper to say the least.
So tonight I go into the bathroom and shut the door. Kambria so kindly slides a candy of hers under the door and then wants it. I tell her that when I am done I will give her the candy, she is freaking out like crazy, it gets quiet for a moment and then I hear her say, "You want to be my helper?" and then something is hitting against the door. I open the door and she has her baby and has her babies hand on the door trying to help her open the door, because she couldn't do it herself. It was so cute that I had to take a picture!!

Ski Date
This Year we didn’t have a lot of extra money to spend on ourselves for Christmas. We wanted to be able to get one another a present but didn’t want to waste money on something the other person wouldn’t want. So we decided it would be fun to A. Get tickets to 2 Jazz games and get shirts. We love the Jazz, and love going to the games, so we felt like this would be a great present. B. We wanted to recreate our 1st date. Now when I say first, I mean after the mission. Our first date was up skiing and my mom actually paid for us LOL. My brother works up at Solitude and was able to score us some free passes for the day. We had BOGO coupons for ski rental and packed some lunches. It was such a fun date. My Mom so kindly watched the kids for us the whole day. Back 10 years ago, I used to ski a lot and I was really good at it. I haven't been for 10yrs. We headed up the ski lift and went down okay, just getting the hang of it. 
We went again and took a different path and ended up at a very beginners lift, so we pushed our selves down to the right lift and went up again. We tried a different route again and ended at a completely different lift, with no way to get where we originally started. But we could tell that from this lift we could work our way over to where we were. So we headed up, and on the journey up I began to get very nervous, the hills were a lot more steep then I was comfortable with, but it was the only way down!! So we decided to just take it very slow going from right to left. I was a lot more slow then Jake. As we are going down this monster hill Jake looks back to make sure I'm okay, and next thing you know he is flying head first down the hill, ski's fly over head and one of them go way down the hill. Ski patrol must have seen it happen, come flying down make sure he is okay (which thankfully he was), and then fly down and stop his ski and stick it into the snow. I make my way over to Jake and we attempt to get his ski's back on. It was so much work, poor Jake was so tired. So we finally make it down and we are both tired. My calves and thighs were on fire. So we head to the van and sit in the back and eat our lunch. We were both laughing so hard at ourselves. Who knew that 10years later I would be so out of shape that after 1.5 hrs of skiing I was dead. We headed back to the hill and went down several more times. After 3.5 hours total my legs were jello! There was no way in the world I would have been able to go again. So we went to a movie and then went and got the kids. It was such a fun date. It brought back so many memories and made a ton more. I'm so thankful for the dates I get to go on with Jake. We have so much fun together. It was his idea to take the lift that led to the monster hill, and I feel bad but at that one moment I did turn a smidgen ornery as I was fearing for my life :)
It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and it was so warm. It really was a great day!!

Quick Getaway to Vegas
On Friday Jake's parents called and said we should come on down to Vegas, well that wasn't a hard choice for us because we were so ready to get out of the house. Jake found someone to take his on-call, he came home early and we were off. We got down to Vegas about 8pm, ate some sloppy joes and talked and then went to bed.

Our last day there we went to old Vegas the old strip. We walked around the Golden nugget. They have a pool, in the middle is a fish tank with sharks in it. There is also a slide that goes right through the middle. We were looking at that ... it was kinda chilly ... we saw this wonderful firepit and stopped for pictures!!

Bellagio is my all time favorite casino. One day when I am rich, I will stay there! We watched a few water shows. Looked through the pretty displays and best of all we ate the most delicious crepe. It was a crepe with strawberries, bananas and chocolate and then whip cream on top. So So good, I almost felt like I shouldn't let my kids share, because they didn't really know how good it was LOL.

We had such a fun time. The kids laughed, laughed so hard, sang songs, screamed and slept on the car ride. It was a long ride but it was worth it. We had a grand time, it was fun to see Jake's parents and to get out of the house and get away.

I took the kids to the Ribbon Cutting of the UFA 123 Fire Station here in Herriman. We had a great time. The firemen were so nice and so friendly to the kids. They gave them firemen hats, and badges. We then sat in and listened for an hour about the UFA and the construction of the station. Afterwards we went into the garage and they cut the ribbon. The kids thought this was so much fun ... the scissors are HUGE!! Afterward, they have a tradition that when they open a new station they spray down and dry the engine. So they had the truck out front. They sprayed it down and then let the kids dry it with towels. They thought they were so cool. Then they had all the kids go to the front on the engine and push it back into the bay. We then were able to look at the fire truck and tour the building. The thing the kids were most excited about was the cookie they were given. We had such a fun time. We are thankful for our Fire Fighters, they do such a great job!!! The new station is huge and amazing, they are pretty lucky!

Well Child Visits and more
Our kids had their well visit check ups and all is well.
Marshall:
weight-34.6 lbs 1.02% ... He is still so small but the Dr isn't worried because he always has been small and he is eating.
Height - 43in 11.11% ... looks like he has my genes with the shortness.
Marshall is doing great. He is smart and healthy.
Marshall is going through a disobedient stage right now, its not alot of fun. He lies a lot and acts out. Something I want to write down is this (because I don't want to forget it):
Jake and I were downstairs watching a movie and the kids were upstairs watching a movie. We can hear them, she we heard a lot of laughing and talking and jumping. Then all of a sudden Kambria was crying super hard. I go up to check on them and meet them both on the stairs. Kambria has a big cut on her neck. Marshall is consoling her ... poor Kam did you bonk, what happened? I said Marshall what happened? M- she was tickling me and she must have hurt herself. Me- obviously something happened because she has a cut on her neck, what happened? M- I don't know Me- DO NOT LIE, you are going to be in BIG trouble if you lie to me. M- well wait a minute (and then as serious as possible) if I tell the truth am I still in BIG trouble? Me- trying not to laugh, if you tell the truth you may still get in trouble if you did something wrong, but nothing like what would happen if you lie. M- okay, okay, well Kam was bugging me so I put my toy tool around her neck and it scratched her ......
It was a great teaching moment!!
The other day Jake put him in timeout, he took his chair and dresser and threw them around the room, as well as toys. Can we say no self control!!! That was also a great teaching moment. He is still a great kid, he must just be trying to figure out who he is and how to control his emotions!!!!! We love Marshall!
Kambria
Weight: 24.8 lbs 25.47%. she eats well, but she is always on the go, and I think this shows that. She is slimming right down.
Height: 34.5 Inches 70.23%. I think she will end up being taller then Marshall!!
She is doing great. She is smart and doing everything that a 2yr old should be doing. We just love Kambria and all of her craziness.
We just transitioned her to a toddler bed and she has done AMAZING. The first night she woke up only once at 1:30am, i tucked her back in and she fell asleep. The second night she took about 15 mins to go to sleep, kept wanting to go get a drink in the kitchen or tell everyone good night again. She also kept asking for chocolate and a snack (she loves chocolate as much as her mom), But once she fell asleep she didn't wake up until 7:30am. She is down right now for a nap and didn't fight it at all. I love that she is growing up!!
Tomorrow we are starting potty training. We are going to do a 3 day deal. She will be in big girl underwear. I know there will be accidents, but I know she will catch on fast. I hope this is an end to diapers very, very soon!!!!
